My ma presented to Bendigo Hospital… extreme dehydration. Bendigo Ambos tried to guilt me into fighting them over ramping her. So let them push her into the waiting room, where she sat in ED for 8 hours with no drip. Not sure what would have happened if I didn't have the funds to buy her drinks - or knew I had to nag them to admit her. Mind you, she sat in care for about 12 hours without food. And when you're dealing with someone who weighs less than 40 kg, that's a BIG deal. Her gallstones and new meds were the trigger in that. but while we was there a head admin came out and said if you dont need to be here dont be ?? Not sure who goes to the ED for a social outing. But yes, please try urgent care before the hospital EDs if you actually want to be treated. I remember the poor new nurse who came out to check her stats;and the look in her eyes - I remember the look in that kid's eyes.- fear and helplessness. I have seen the same look in DV victims. I hope the system didn't bust her... cos i seen she has a lot of love to give humans. we need a few hundred million into health care not weapons that are over 30 years old HEALTH MATTERS Health has overarching wealth the billionaires dont want.
