Four days at the AI Engineer World's Fair. Intense and insightful. Thank you @swyx and the AI Engineer team for putting together 29 tracks of people who actually ship. What stuck with me was how the same hard problems surface everywhere. An hour in Robotics & World Models, then the regulated-industry tracks like Finance and Healthcare, then Harness and Agentic Engineering. Completely different domains, all wrestling with the same core: reliability, evaluation, guardrails, and keeping humans in the loop where it matters. The best parts were the sessions and the conversations right after, comparing notes on what holds up in production versus what only looks good in a demo. (A few more of those in the Speakers Lounge, too.) That's where you feel the zeitgeist: not any single talk, but the pattern across all of them. Getting to give my own talk was a great final accord to the week. But it's those four days of cross-domain conversations I'll carry home. Grateful #AIEngineer brought us all together at Moscone Center for it. Sharing one slide from my talk, the idea that resonated most: make dumb mistakes structurally impossible. Every failure mode should map to a preventive measure that removes the unsafe path, not a reminder to be careful.
