Started using @umami_software for my product and it’s actually pretty wild how simple it is.
It took me maybe 4-10 minutes to get the whole thing running. In a world where every tool is getting bloated and over-engineered, this one just gets the work done.
There is a reason I chose Umami—it doesn't overload you with features. I really only needed two things:
- Tracking how people use the product
- Number of users on my site
It checks both boxes. Plus, it’s open source, the UI is super clean, and the free tier limits are actually generous for builders.
If you want analytics without the headache of some complex setup, definitely check this out. It’s a breath of fresh air. 🛠️

Just switched from Google Analytics to @umami_software self-hosted on my servers.
I can say it's just a breeze... GDPR friendly, Fast, Minimal and it feels better. I highly recommend it. It also has an API I can use within my Apps.

Added @umami_software to my blog for analytics. I was really surprised to see so many awesome features inside Umami despite being privacy focused, with sessions and realtime being my fav.
Self hosting was a breeze, and Astro integration was even easier! Loved it!

Pulled a near all nighter and almost finished the blog. @astrodotbuild is awesome! The performance is superb, 100 score on Lighthouse.
Now I wish I'd planned the blog content before coding it 😅
