Anthropic's pre-IPO perp is trading $420B above what some IPO investors think it's worth.
Reuters reported last week that some Anthropic investors are now discussing a $1.5T IPO valuation, down from previous expectations of $2T.
On Aster, Anthropic's perp dropped to around $1.82T when the report came out. It's since recovered to $1.92T.
Meanwhile, OpenAI's perp sits at $1.47T, close to the $1.4T+ valuation Reuters says it's targeting in its latest funding round ahead of Anthropic's expected mid-November IPO.
That's a 28% premium on Anthropic over what some IPO investors are discussing.
One side is wrong by mid-November 👀
How the math works: Aster's pre-IPO perps use a 1 billion reference share count, so a $1,919 price means about $1.92T.

Wall Street closes on Friday. The bulls on Aster don't. 🐂
I looked at 158 stock moves across 13 weekends on Aster. One pattern stood out:
🟢 67% of Sunday night perp signals were bullish.
📉 Yet 56% of the stocks opened lower on Monday.
Here's where it gets interesting:
• When stocks opened green on Monday, Aster perps had already pointed up 81% of the time.
• When stocks opened red, perps had only pointed down 44% of the time.
In other words, weekend traders were much quicker to anticipate upside than downside.
The stock market closes. Bullish sentiment doesn't.
And on Aster, you can watch that sentiment play out all weekend.

39 years ago today, Black Monday sent shockwaves through global markets. The crash began in Asia, spread to Europe, and ended with the Dow plunging 22.6% in a single day.
Today, the mood is a little different. Asia is mixed, with the Kospi up 0.6%, BTC recovering to around $82.5K, and US futures in the green after last week's chip-led selloff.
Let's hope Europe and Wall Street keep the recovery going. 📈

Around 1am Sunday, with Wall Street closed, MU perps on Aster fell $877→$822 and SK Hynix $918→$854 in 30 minutes.
Both have since recovered most of the drop.
