Cuffing season is approaching, so here is my unsolicited advice for finding love.
1. Appreciate things as much as you can.
All the little things that typically go unnoticed in your day need to start receiving your love for life. A convenient green light, an extra-helpful service worker, a cute squirrel that lets you get just a little closer than usual. It is from your appreciation for life that the rest of your charisma will find its vigour.
2. Show and receive bids of affection graciously (and never stop).
You may find that this is easier earlier in a relationship, when you’re both “drunk on love,” but it is especially important when things aren’t going so well. If your date does something to upset you, communicate it and establish your boundaries, but please don’t hold it against them if they’re trying to show you that they’re sorry. Let things go. There is no love without forgiveness.
3. Learn each other’s love languages.
Your relationship is unique to you; learn how to express love in ways that make sense to your partner. Don’t compare yourself to other relationships, because what works for other people may not work for you and your partner. I believe the key to a successful long term relationship is rooted in a willingness to explore and refine a love language that only you and your partner would perfectly understand.
4. DO NOT BE AFRAID.
If you are attracted to someone, tell them. The worst thing that can happen is nothing. You never know how they’re feeling. This is honestly the easiest part, all things considered.
Good luck, have fun (important) and remember to communicate <3
Imma tell my kids I was on my high school football team (I was for one week and at some point it dawned on me that I would almost certainly get a concussion so I quit)
My girlfriend preordered cyberpunk 2077 for me on ps4 and the game infamously did not work on old gen consoles. I still have it in the original wrapper with the collectors edition tin case.
It’s very obvious that a lot of guys aren’t against abortion as a principled moral stance. They don’t think it’s the same thing as murder at all. They’re extremely jealous that women have what is essentially a get out of jail free card for parenthood.
Boomers love saying “you people” to service workers and complaining about the accents they have a hard time understanding.
