National and Labour have both failed New Zealand. If you haven’t voted yet, look at the minor parties’ policies and choose based on what they’re proposing. You don’t need to agree with everything, just what would be a net advantage to your situation.

I always vote on the first day. Today is the first day of voting so I went to the Wainuiomata advance voting place at the hall. It is closed. A disgrace. Along with early roll closing it is looking like the voter suppression you expect from Trump or Hungary not here in Aotearoa.

It’s interesting who gets polled. My FIL is on the Māori roll and gets blasted with pollsters weekly, and everytime says he is not interested. He’s always voted Labour. I can’t help but wonder they note people like him down as whatever he voted for the last time he responded.
