With Georgia losing to unranked Auburn at home, Alabama losing to Georgia at home and by double digits to Tennessee, Tennessee losing to 3-3 South Carolina, Ole Miss losing by 24 to Florida and to Texas, LSU losing twice, and Texas losing to unranked Oklahoma and to Florida at home, the SEC’s chances of getting multiple teams in the CFP were significantly damaged. Looking like a 1-bid league. Go get ‘em Kentucky!
With BYU and Texas Tech losing Saturday, the Big 12's chances of getting multiple teams in the CFP were significantly damaged. @CFBHeather has the CFP top 12 projection after Week 8 ⬇️ spr.ly/6011BH5G6t

Regular season implications gone. Losing doesn’t matter. Endless transferring. Minimal loyalty to schools. Everything about money. Conference regionality gone. Rankings rigged for two conferences (primarily one). Every year College Football gets worse and worse. Very sad.

This is slop. Your favorite team has 20 transfers in/out every year. USC-Rutgers and Clemson-Cal are both conference games. Playoff teams with 3 losses. TV broadcast is 70% gambling ads. College Gameday has Pat McAfee interviewing Ted Cruz. Even Herbstreit’s weird now. Game gone
NEW: College Football Playoff 24-team expansion talks will continue this week with meetings in Chicago, @PeteNakos reports. Momentum is building for a 24-team field, with the ACC, Big 12 and Notre Dame supporting it and the SEC open to it. on3.com/news/college-footbal…

*Wake Forest loses to #4 Miami, beats #16 Louisville* “Oh my gosh, the ACC is so bad. Unrank Louisville, still a bad win for Miami, keep Wake Forest unranked.” *Kentucky loses by 28 to Alabama, beats a bad Texas A&M team* “LOOK AT THE DEPTH OF THE SEC! CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW TOP 25 RANKING, KENTUCKY! 💕💖🎁”

Guess who’s in their annual reserved spot as a pawn to make other SEC teams look good with a “ranked win”? Exact same story every single year.

Sorry 11-1 BYU and 11-1 Louisville! You’ve just been left out of the CFP for 9-3 Tennessee who lost to Texas, LSU, and Alabama and finished with zero ranked wins, BUT, they had a stronger strength of conference. Better luck next year.
At some point, an 11-2 Big 12 team is getting left out of a CFP for a 9-3 SEC team with 3 ranked losses to teams who finished unranked.

Why is this such a big discussion? Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? A guy can’t be emotional after training his ass off for six and a half months in the offseason to take his game to a new level just to get hurt in mid-September? I’d rather see my quarterback show this level of care. Caleb, just like the rest of the people in that stadium, had no idea just how severe the injury was. So yeah, I’d say him showing that level emotion as an instant reaction speaks more to how much he cares for the city and how bad he wants to be out there every single snap. I’d take that quality in my quarterback 100x over.
Now that we’re on the other side of this news and Caleb Williams is okay… You can’t scream like that and get carted off for a hamstring You just can’t

So, wins can be vacated for student athletes having their dinners paid for, but in the matter of right and wrong for the outcome of a contest, we just shrug it off?!!
The FBS Oversight Committee says in a statement that "instant replay protocols were not followed in the contest’s second-to-last play" in the Western Michigan-Michigan game, and "had the protocols been followed, the outcome of the game would have been different." FBS oversight committee says it cannot overturn the result.

Just so I understand: The NCAA can retroactively vacate wins and losses that happened 5 years ago because a guy took a cheeseburger or made money off his image before NIL, but can’t vacate a very clear instance where the wrong team won a game after being gifted a free play!?
The FBS Oversight Committee said in a statement that instant replay protocols were not followed on the second-to-last play of the Western Michigan-Michigan game. Had they been followed, the committee says the games outcome would have been different, but the result cannot be changed.
