i guess you could add brand and trust to that list of moats too, which leads back to marketing for some of it
Technical moats are mostly over at this point. If you’re building something that is meant to be durable, the only moats now are: • Proprietary data • Network effects • A physical component

safe to say the tables have turned! engineers and companies are desperately looking to team up with great marketers, while many of those marketers have started their own businesses
the next wave of founders will all be marketers it's easier for a creative to learn to build than for an engineer to learn how to generate attention building keeps getting easier and marketing keeps getting harder

i hopped on with ai legend @aiwithremy for an insane challenge: vibe build a startup from random idea to live page in just 60 min the stack: @ideabrowser @paper @referodesign @wisprflow the fuel: an irresponsible amount of caffeine did we cook?
I put five startup ideas on a spinning wheel and gave myself 60 minutes to build whatever it lands on. by the end it needed a name, a brand, a live landing page, an app mockup, socials and ads i didn't know what i was building until the wheel stopped @untold_bits was in the trenches with me startup speedrun ep. 1

this applies to more than display ads: whats the point of a beautiful website if a bot ends up crawling it on the user’s behalf?
I think we're in for a rude awakening in the ad markets: If a huge part of your business is showing targeted display ads to humans what happens when agents browse your website and get the job done without a human seeing your ads at all?

prediction: we are past peak mobile screen time. why? either voice replaces typing or AGI replaces us. either way, less scrolling.

Grok @bot 💏 @claudeai fable 5.1 Will is my lead engineer. he runs claude CLI on his own machine, on my max plan. @cursor_ai cloud agents still ship the code. fable does the thinking. that's the split. best of both worlds?

during a client call this morning i referred to my dr eggbot (built by @poteto) with a straight face. their response was a mixture of confusion and secondhand embarrassment. do i live in a bubble? or should i say egg? 🥚

my new marketing engineering stack inspired by @poteto: - launching @cursor_ai cloud agents from grok @bot app - pstack plugin for engineering principles - grok routines farm context on socials (e.g. icp feedback) - all runs w/ laptop closed + mobile app - rip my mac mini 💀

🔄 we went from putting ai in our software to putting software inside our ai. codex is the one super app. the control centre for knowledge work.
I'm genuinely blown away by the state of using AI for marketing and general tasks. This is a screenshot from codex. The right side of the screen is Notion open in the in app browser. Always signed into my account. When the agent creates a notion doc (Codex has it's own notebook in my notion) it sends me a link. I right click that link and select "Open in Browser" this opens the link on the right. I can make changes, that the agent can see. The agent can make changes that I can see. The browser now persists... meaning when i sign into an external app in the browser I stay signed in, even in new chats. Codex not only can plugin to my existing tools, but it can open my existing tools INSIDE CODEX. This update to Codex is 10x more important than any marginal improvement to the models. I don't understand why more people aren't talking about this. I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but if you use this workflow a few times it becomes obvious that this is the future of work.

jaime is one of the best creatives I’ve ever worked with. he has an insane ability to take the intangible and build it into a brand system that scales. he helped me visually communicate my journey at untold_bits: from head of marketing to “marketing architect,” designing and building AI infrastructure for startups and scale-ups.
The Visual Journal is a custom tool I built to generate brand assets for @untold_bits . Making design accesible using #claude_code #design

“…the model is no longer the product. The harness is.” we went from prompt engineering to context engineering to now harness engineering. this space is moving so fast.
