Buying exposure to a physical commodity used to come with a practical checklist: Where is it stored? Who holds it? What is the minimum lot size? Tokenization gives these questions a modern operating layer: The metal still requires custody. The ownership structure still requires legal documentation. Redemption still carries conditions. Markets still carry risk. What changes is the interface. Underlying metals remain in secure facilities, while modern wallets provide the digital route to hold and settle. The asset is physical, but now, the access layer is digital. The future of access is here.

Nuclear energy and renewables should be viewed as complementary. Agree or disagree? Boris Schucht, CEO of @urencoglobal, joins @The_Oilholic on Critical Mass at the @WorldNuclear Symposium 2026 to explore this topic and other challenges facing the nuclear supply chain. Watch now
A strong believer: Boris addresses the [critical] masses Urenco CEO Boris Schucht tells the @metalsofficial Critical Mass podcast that the total system costs of energy sources should be considered by those who claim #nuclear is too expensive. “It makes a lot of sense to integrate as much renewables as your system can carry. But then…you have to expand your system, build additional grids…strengthen transmission grids to transport the energy because renewables are often far away from the demand centres…that adds tremendous cost to the overall bill. “There is a balance where it does not make sense to increase the infrastructure anymore, where it’s better to build 24/7 available energy close to the demand centres – and that is what nuclear can offer, and a lot of governments are understanding that.” Quizzed by @The_Oilholic (Gaurav Sharma), Boris also gave his take on whether tripling nuclear by 2050 is realistic. Can we do it? Bottlenecks? Consistent political guidance for the #NuclearFuelCycle is needed across Western nations to enable future investments and innovation. Financing: the more we establish a well-functioning industry, the more the problem of financing projects will be solved. Who would have foreseen some years ago that Hinkley and Sizewell C would receive private funding? Taking physical commodities out of the 19th-century opaque system and putting them on verified digital rails. Legacy commodity trade stayed locked behind paper contracts and bilateral agreements while broader access lagged. Why metals.io built new infrastructure for physical assets: Access. Retail investors couldn’t directly invest in the metals powering their own future. Locked behind multi-million-dollar minimums that the majority simply didn’t have. We saw that as an inefficiency. So we enabled access to rare-earth metals powering EVs, clean energy, and more, starting from $1: Retail investors can now digitally own physical uranium, nickel, cobalt, gold, and a basket of rare-earths… With just an internet connection, $1, and 5 minutes to spare. The world has never seen access like this before.

Kevin O'Leary's big AI bet isn't big tech, it's uranium. According to @kevinolearytv, nuclear power will play a critical role in meeting the electric grid requirements of computing infra. Nuclear energy, fueled by uranium, is powering the next wave of AI innovation
Kevin O’Leary (@kevinolearytv) says his big AI trade is no longer Big Tech, it’s energy. “The trade is now the energy trade,” he said, pointing to uranium, natural gas and power generation as AI data centers drive electricity demand.

The infrastructure supporting institutional participation in tokenized uranium continues to expand. @Anchorage joins @Hex_Trust, @ArchaxEx, @BitGo, and @BitcoinSuisse_ in the growing custody ecosystem for xU3O8 (@uranium_io)
Another win for the tokenized RWA industry. "Institutions are not short on interest in tokenized real-world assets. They are short on places to hold them." @Anchorage supporting @etherlink means tokenized uranium (@uranium_io) has a home at a chartered bank, with custody for institutions.
