Cannot agree more with you ! Here are few snippets & a brand new international airport to add to the attraction !! How ever I have seen lot of liquor belt shops in the coast - can cause lots of trouble gradually , a law and order concern ! Lot of littering around and potential destruction of the beautiful coast ! Development should be cautious !🙂 But certainly has great potentials @ncbn @naralokesh @vizagcitypolice @vizagcollector @RamMNK. Development doesn’t need belt shops - pls see example of Sandiego, Florida ! Getting liquor should be difficult! There are many more better ways for recreation!
Why isn’t this one of India’s most talked-about coastal landscapes? This is Gangavaram Beach, near Visakhapatnam. Not the conventional image of a tropical beach. No rows of swaying coconut palms or picture-postcard scenery. Instead, towering rocky cliffs & a rugged, almost prehistoric beauty. Frankly, I find this kind of raw beauty even more compelling. It’s the sort of place that invites you not just to relax, but to reflect. And there’s an interesting irony here… The world’s technology giants are arriving in Vizag to build hyperscale data centres & AI infrastructure. But judging by these photographs, nature got into the hyperscaling business here millions of years ago! Vizag is clearly on its way to becoming a major technology hub. But I suspect it also has the potential to become one of India’s most sought-after coastal leisure destinations. Clearly, there's more than one kind of spectacular growth story unfolding in Vizag… #SundayWanderer (Pics courtesy @IndiaAesthetica The colours may have been enhanced a bit, but I suspect the landscape itself will not disappoint)

#DidYouKnow Maa Bimala at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri receives non-vegetarian offerings during Durga Puja!! Fish and goat are sacrificed as part of secret Tantric rituals on Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami. (Source - Orissa Review) These rituals take place at night and must be completed before dawn, ahead of the opening of Shree Jagannatha’s temple doors for morning rituals. The Maa Bimala Temple, located inside Shree Mandira in Puri, is one of the revered Shakti Peethas. This ancient tradition reflects the unique coexistence of Odisha’s Shakta and Vaishnava traditions within the same temple complex.

Remembering Prof. G. N. Ramachandran on his 104th birth anniversary A pioneer of structural biology, he proposed the triple-helix structure of collagen and co-developed the Ramachandran Plot, which is still used worldwide to understand and validate protein structures. His work laid the foundation for molecular biophysics in India and continues to shape modern biology and drug discovery. Celebrating a visionary who changed how we see the molecules of life. #GNRamachandran #RamachandranPlot #StructuralBiology @DrJitendraSingh @rajesh_gokhale @BricDbt @DBT_inStem @NABI_India @bric_ils @HydNiab @FollowDbtNibmg @NIPGRsocial @NImmunology @BRIC_CDFD @DBT_NCCS_Pune @ICGEB @DBT_inStem @DBT_NBRC @RGCB_Trivandrum @DBT_IBSD @THSTIFaridabad @unescorcb @CSIR_IND @ICGEBNewDelhi @BIRAC_2012 @CSIRIndia @DSTIndia

The 2 AM lab shift has only two drivers: romance or ruin. The one in love is pure collateral damage: sits motionless on a high stool, staring into space, holding an unlabelled falcon tube for four hours just to breathe the same autoclaved air as their colleague. Reagents spoil, timers beep unheard, zero science occurs. But the heartbroken researcher is lethal. He’ll take every ungodly time-point, calibrate four neglected instruments, and churn out six months of flawless data in 72 hours just to dodge an empty hostel room. One ruins the lab inventory; the other gets published in Nature. Both are pure existential hazard! #MotorShastra #LabRomance #AcademicTwitter #PhDLife #ScienceHumor
heartbroken guy in the lab is the most dangerous researcher on campus. He’ll voluntarily take the 2AM incubation shift, calibrate four different instruments nobody asked him to touch and produce three months of data in a week just to avoid going back to an empty hostel room.

This, coupled with red tape, defunct support workers, most importantly, "elitism" & "chronic nepotism" however the bright student work force is what drives majority of the research !
A note for funders these days - this year's Nobel prize was not possible without at least 50-60 years (may be more) of curiosity-driven basic science encompassing, Physics, Microbiology, Genetics and Neuroscience. We will soon see many experts commenting on why India doesn't win one - the first response should be simply keep funding more and more high quality basic science of every domain rather than worrying TRLs if you have even want to have a shot. Technology will follow and keep yielding surprising dividends.

The beauty of fundamental cell biology :) into translational value!
This year’s medicine laureate Karl Deisseroth transformed the protein channelrhodopsin into a light-controlled switch for nerve cells. Deisseroth introduced the gene for channelrhodopsin into nerve cells from rats. By illuminating the cells with blue light, he was able to trigger a nerve signal. He published this breakthrough in 2005. Two years later, he made this light-controlled switch for nerve cells work in the brains of living mice. #NobelPrize
