I avoided X for a long time because of toxic politics. But I'm making an exception today because I have to speak out on this important election. If you haven’t voted yet, I urge you to vote Bass for Mayor & McKinney for City Attorney! Any *DSA candidate is terrible for L.A.! ⬇️

*Democratic Socialists of America They're trying to turn America into a socialist country. If you're not familiar with them, here is their manifesto. Pay attention to Section 6 for the scary stuff. Even where you conceptually agree, they prob go too far! dsa-la.org/democratic-social…

Saw a friend yesterday who's a fucla fan. I congratulated him on the season and told him to keep it up because the better they do the hotter it gets for LR. He thanked me but asked us to please stay away from his HC. He knows he won't be there long bc fucla can't pay big money.

Spoken like someone with a $70M buyout who DGAF.
#USC HC Lincoln Riley: "I thought defensively we dominated maybe 90 percent of the plays in the game." Said they had a couple of critical errors letting ball get outside and critical penalties, but otherwise played well. Felt there was a lot to be encouraged by.

I should've been clearer. People are confused. My hypothetical didn't assume the current schedule. Just a random year where we lose 2 and don't make the playoff, then the next year we lose 2 and make it as a low seed. This year there is 0% chance we end with just two losses.
Hypothetical (very!) question. Let's say USC finishes this season with 2 losses and misses the playoff. But next season finishes with the same record, makes the playoff as 20+ seed, and is eliminated in the first game. Will you be happier about next season than this season?

I don't know and I was actually wondering about this myself. Does anyone know?

Can NIL have a base plus commission structure incentive bonus system like you would do for salespeople or nfl contracts

Like, does it really matter to fans if you have the same record but only made the playoff because it was expanded and you're just first round fodder? For me it's the same thing. 24-team CFP is smoke and mirrors that nobody wants, just so schools can make more money. Agree or no?

speculated he could just retire and let usc pay his buy out
#USC hc lincoln riley on retiring early at 50 with all the hot-seat/buyout talk today, this quote feels especially relevant. buyout obligations are often offset if a coach takes another job — but what if lincoln doesn’t? wonder if he’d be content just walking away from coaching if things don’t work out at usc, and whether that changes usc's decision on if/when to move on

Saw this as it was happening and knew #USC was in trouble. Problem is defensive coordinator is now in the box, and I don't know if anyone else on the defensive staff has authority to call timeouts.
This is defensive malpractice. Lining up with 2 over 4 is bad math. Someone on the USC sideline should have been calling time out.

I'm going to take back what I said about players shouldn't be blamed for losing. That was true back in the day when they were "doing their best" and not getting paid. But these dudes are on the payroll now so they need to earn that money and be accountable when the play like 💩.
Not only is Riley going to get the snot booed out of him on Saturday but that's going to bleed over to the players who shouldn't be blamed for his incompetence. I'm afraid it's going to start getting uy.

If I was Lincoln Riley I'd be too embarrassed to show my face on the sideline on Saturday.

USC is officially out of the AP top 25 and currently has three top-7 teams remaining on its schedule. If we were any good our SOS claim would be off the charts. Instead we're doomed.

I don't think so. Ohio State's defense is better than Wisconsin's and now they're going to be ready for the no-look-behind-the-back-reverse-suicide-alley-oop-football-pass.

Easy W for the Trojans in the Coliseum Too bad this is the game they were focusing on instead of Wisconsin. Live & learn with a young team
