We've wanted to ship this for a while. A tab to easily see where your AI visitors come from. It was insightful for us because we knew about ChatGPT and Claude but had no idea about the others. Places to pay attention to.

I don't understand why ChatGPT adds UTM but Claude doesn't. This is the human traffic to the usefathom.com website from these harnesses where we've been recommended recently. Decided on a dedicated AI tab on the dashboard and will build this insight into our AI chat too

I've spent the last week working on our new data model and we've just hit a 76% speed improvement. Most analytics companies start sampling data and hiding your data from queries. That's lazy. We've now proven that you can have fast dashboards even with over one billion pageviews.

Did you know you can use regex when filtering your Fathom dashboard?
It's especially handy when you want to group a few different values together. For example, if there's been a mix up of campaign names across multiple sources and you've ended up with a few different UTM names:
summer_sale
su26
summer-sale-26
Just click the filter icon in the top right of your dashboard, choose UTM Campaign and select "Matching (regex)", and enter your regex. For our example, it would be:
spring_sale|su26|spring-sale-26
That'll show you the data for all three at once.
You can use regex to filter other data on the dashboard too, like pages, referrers and events.
And if regex is foreign to you, give an AI assistant the values you want to filter by and ask it to generate the bit that looks like your cat has just run across your keyboard 😸
We've made managing currencies for your events much easier!
You can now set currencies straight from your dashboard: a site default, per event, or a wildcard like "Purchase: *".
We've also moved event blocking into the Firewall, where you can now Block or Allow junk events (with wildcard support too).

You can now switch any Firewall list to Allow or Block. Want data from only one country? Use an allow list instead of blocking everything else.
Works for countries, domains, IPs, pages and referrers.

New pricing page just launched. It's wild that big analytics companies don't offer lifetime data retention. My guess is that their data models are rushed and sloppy. We have customers with data back to 2005 and our data model is built to scale infinitely. Built by one developer.
Partners! The shared dashboard banner is back. Previously, it was all or nothing, now it's fully configurable. People have made lots of money from their shared dashboards and we've excited to bring it back. Lots more coming soon, watch out.
