Today I ran the Blue Ridge marathon. I didn’t win. However, I did get a new PR ! This is a great race with awesome volunteers and lots of elevation. The official race chip time was 5:29.00.

I have been working since I was 14.I had never been unemployed until last Thursday. My former employer, Central Freight Lines, decided to shut down. I had been there for 17.5 years including 14 with Wilson Trucking. Moving onward. I will miss my work family.
The Crooked Road 24 hour ultra was Saturday. I ran my furthest distance ever, finishing 29th out of 185 overall! This is a great race, and the support is phenomenal!
Yesterday’s Eastern Divide 50K was a struggle! I was happy to just finish. My Garmin time was about 20 minutes under the official race time. Awesome race with great people and volunteers!
Conquer the Cove trail marathon had it all! Loads of elevation, mud, awesome volunteers, and beautiful mountain laurel. I managed to complete a trail race without falling. Garmin shorted the distance, but it was fun.

Yesterday’s Mill Mountain Mayhem 10K trail race. I got first in my age group (there were 3 of us).It was a great race with lots of rocks, roots and elevation. The first place winner finished in 42 minutes!
Today’s run was a struggle from the beginning! Cold, windy, hydration pack never felt right, but it’s done! #runblueridge
