Imagine you wake up and:

All of this is in the field. Millions of machines are vulnerable. Most of them will not be patched in the near future and you can't really trust TLS anymore...
The state of security is really, really frightening. And it won't get better anytime soon. 🫠

Security Alert for Fearless Wallet
Fearless Wallet is a third-party application, built and maintained by an independent team.
Following an investigation by the Polkadot Technical Fellowship on behalf of the @PCF_org, it was found that the Fearless Wallet browser extension had been compromised and had been leaking users’ private keys since February 2025.
If you have used the Fearless Wallet browser extension, please create a new keypair with a different wallet and move your funds as soon as possible.
Remember to never share your private keys.

⚠️ Recruitment fraud warning
We've seen reports of scammers posing as recruiters for @Kusama, @Polkadot and the Web3 Foundation, asking applicants to pay for tests or assessments. In other cases, people are asked to download GitHub repos containing malicious code.
These are hoaxes.
Web3 Foundation does not charge people to apply for jobs. Polkadot and Kusama are decentralised networks, not employers.
Stay vigilant. Never pay to apply for a job, and be cautious before clicking on unsolicited links.

Today, a @Google Cloud outage disrupted banking services across the UK, including @Revolut and @LloydsBank.
Turns out putting so much critical infrastructure in so few companies' hands has its drawbacks.

The first milestone of Robonomics 5.0 is done: Governance & Finish-off.
The network is now run by XRT holders through referenda. Sudo is gone, and emergency controls and protocol settings moved to governance too.
The runtime lives in its own repository, with CI and the 5.0 spec written down next to the code.
Device trees in the Robonomics cloud got simpler, and data is now charged by its actual size.
Next up: subscriptions, a new way to pay for the cloud. The first big PR is already in review.
