Policy nerd focused on Medicaid and health IT @OIGatHHS. Tweets are my own personal opinion. Apologies for all the dog stuff / yelling at the Nationals.

New Report: HHS-OIG found that #Medicaid #managedcare organizations (MCOs) denied 1 out of 8 prior authorization requests for services, several MCOs had denial rates higher than 25%, and most states’ oversight of these denials was limited. direc.to/fgxu

7) finally, while we fully expect #infoblocking enforcement will improve interoperability in health care, it’s not the only tool. Avoid enforcement and improve the flow of data by being proactive to comply with @ONC_HealthIT rules. Don’t wait for @OIGatHHS to knock on your door.

What's an aspect of parenting during the last two years that, even with a whole lot of pandemic parenting content, still feels like people aren't talking about it/acknowledging it enough?

In the last month, multiple “simp DAOs” have formed, pining after Twitch streamers, OnlyFans models, singers—and selling their images as NFTs. trib.al/qvSv3Mi
Day 10 of isolation after minor symptoms and a positive PCR test. Vaxed, boosted, and have no lingering symptoms and feel fine. Apparently my boogers just can’t quit COVID. CDC guidance would tell me ok to re-enter. But feels irresponsible given the bright purple + test.

Lucky this doesn’t really disrupt life too much. I can work from home, wife has never tested +, and stuff we need can be delivered. Not sure how folks who don’t have the same flexibility will navigate similar situations.

Still getting plenty of lightning. There is no reason to go out in the dark and try and investigate why we had all those power flashes. Let power crews, fire depts, and police do their thing. / 404 AM
