the weirdest things about being in school right now is how disconnected education feels from what’s actually happening in the world.
the way i use AI today is completely different from how i used it six months ago. yet i go to class and we’re still being taught to approach problems the same way people did years ago.
i’m not saying we should stop learning fundamentals or outsource every thought to chatgpt.
it just feels like the entire definition of what it means to be skilled is changing in real time, and our education system literally can’t keep up.
i don’t know what the solution is, but it’s strange being told to prepare for the future by institutions that seem to be struggling to understand the present.

My @vercel internship: Codex, async video, batch support on AI Gateway. And I turned the terminal into an arcade for agents:
▪︎ Challenge models in 3D ASCII, no GPU
▪︎ Build with the open source game engine
Install → npm i -g ascii-arcade
Explore → ascii-arcade.dev
Vercel Connect is now generally available.
Give your apps and agents secure access to @slackhq, @linear, @github & 100+ other services.
• Short-lived, scoped access tokens

the key to building a great career is simply inserting yourself into contexts where you are continually the dumbest idiot in the room
