I have watched a lot of humanoids walk over the last years. In my honest assessment, this is one of the better gaits out there - and it is still our very early stage. Congrats Martin Riedmiller & team!
We decided showing the alpha platform unblurred for the first time. Until now we covered it in every clip, because it is an internal development mule and not the product. Generation 1 is progressing well and we are relaxed about showing what came before it.
And we simply grew fond of this machine. The boxy shape is the direct result of rapid prototyping that allowed for the record design and build time. Exactly that raw frame is what makes the contrast so striking once it starts moving. A boxy machine man with a very organic character.
Generation 1 gets unveiled early 2027. If you’ve build humanoids before or shipped hardware at scale, consider joining.
Hear our CEO Nikolai Ensslen @nikensslen discuss the role of world models for the future of physical Al with Robin Rombach, Zeev Farbman and Efrat Swissa next week in Berlin.
What will it take for AI to move beyond generating pixels and start understanding worlds?
At #NVIDIAGTC Berlin, hear from @bfl_ai, @LTX, and @vesoma_ai for a conversation about the future of world models.
Explore whether traditional scaling laws still apply, where foundation models end and robotics begins, and what the open ecosystem must standardize to accelerate progress.

VioLA predicts body & hand motion latents — not joints — so human demos can supervise the same action space the robot runs.
🤖 140.6M frames, 93.2% human (~781 hours)
🦾 88.6% manipulation success with zero task fine-tuning
🧠 human-only training still walks on the real robot (40%)
Why it matters: human video stops being "almost robot data" and starts being the action labels.

If you know @nikensslen, you know this is serious.
Vesoma. Today the name is public.
Ve for versatile, soma, Greek for body. Then we noticed the same Ve opens vera (truth) and veda (knowledge). Trustworthy, intelligent, versatile embodiments. An AI lab that ships a humanoid.
Its intelligence learns from doing the work, not from watching us do it.
