1/n.
Indian bureaucracy never ceases to amaze you. My wife (US citizen) updated her name (added my surname to her legal name and got her passport updated). As a proactive measure, she informed FRRO the same.
5/n.
The local office rejected the tehsil affidavit, told us to Google a phantom "Form-4," and admitted they have zero direct lines to FRRO Delhi. Meanwhile, my daily calls to Delhi go straight into a void, and emails are met with automated "case closed".
6/n.
When the regional office tells you to Google their own paperwork, and headquarters ghosts your calls while a ticking clock hangs over an international flight, exactly what are you supposed to do?
@MEAIndia @DrSJaishankar any guidance on where to find mythical Form-4? Thnx.

Today I was planning to continue working on the course I'm building on turbulent flows, but somehow I got caught up building a new tracking algorithm for MyPTV (which is now available online github.com/ronshnapp/MyPTV) 😅

Great talk by #EEL @vindhya_uiuc at #isefp2024. If you missed it, you can see the first 30% of it at the J of Ecohydraulics - doi.org/10.1080/24705357.202…
Reminds me of CEE451 class I took in Fall 2019… Prof. Parker showed this video to explain something about geological timescales (a bit exaggerated but you get the idea). As usual, he’s just ahead of the curve 😅🙏🏽 – at Champaign, IL
