firstly I’ll never understand the need of producing #this genre in a country like thailand and secondly some people need to understand that the prblm with this brom@nce shit is that it goes beyond portraying two men having a close, platonic friendship… we have absolutely NO problem with platonic relationships, but there’s a huge diff betw showing a genuine friendship/bromance and deliberately marketing them like a BL CP…. also those series have obv queer undertones, and instead of simply portraying a platonic friendship, the company keeps pushing them as a couple through mascots, CP events and fanservice to profit off the audience ….they know exactly what kind of audience they’re attracting and what they’re selling, yet everything gets dismissed as “just bromance.” This is queerbaiting, and we shouldn’t keep supporting a company that profits from audiences while refusing to be honest about its intentions. It’s time we stop normalizing this and boycott it.
yes about the novel but before forming an opinion I’d like to see how gmmtv markets them. If they become another fixed cp, then all words mean nothing

I see your points but I think pairing men up into "fixed couples" then putting it under the "bromance" genre, which heavily implies "more than friends but not quite lovers" isn't the way of doing it. They should just make a story about a group of male friends who show intimacy.

the most glaring thing is the way the shows r done: plots with homoerotic undertones and a very will they won't they premise. then, the way the duos are marketed, they're marketed exactly the same as a bl cp, events, mascots, fanservice. so how do they differ from bl cps?

also a kiss can be an obvious sign, but even without one in the pilot, there needs to be something else to signal that the characters have feeling for each other. A touch, a line, a poignant moment. If there’s nothing but a little bit of ambiguity, that’s just bromance to me

Sorry but where is exactly the romance in this plot? There aren’t even subtle hints. Every other confirmed BL, kissing aside, has scenes that hint that the characters have feelings for each other. Show me where this happens here? As of right now, this just looks like bromance
