100% serious when i say a huge part of the frustration that I and probably a lot of people felt with Rebirth’s Hard Mode + Combat Challenges is the sheer amount of manual Materia Reconfiguration you had to do so it’s really nice to see them take out a huge time sink of those runs

Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed Materia loadouts in Final Fantasy VII Revelation! via @Cammy_Dalamud - You can save 5 loadouts per character - Loadouts include Materia, weapons and equipment - You can freely switch between them for boss battles or normal encounters etc.

I do admire how these games force you to use other characters and constantly switch party perspectives so you can get a handle on everyone but my god those 10-20 minutes you spend re-equipping everyone with their materia really adds up by the end of the game.

got from the first time round. I vividly remember from this book onwards where my personal opinion of this series really, really grows in favour of it and through MT i’m reminded why, usually such a disorientating switch in setting & cast especially after the note - 11/12

left off of from HoC would leave someone quite frustrated but in spite of that Erikson does an incredible job creating something new but just as gripping to follow as a reader. Looking foward to going back though, BH is up there with my favourite entries. 12/12
