please never shy away from re-commโing your favorite artists.
ive only had 1โ2 over the past two months, but their support alone have helped sustain me financially, keeping me afloat after finishing my master's studies while i continue seeking for employment in this rough times.

i know what its like to get doors slammed shut in my face. i know what its like to hit rock bottom and feel like you will never make it out. don't ever give up. dont ever stop. keep on trying. the path to your dream might not be the path you envisioned but you can make your own.

Hot take about VTubing on a Tuesday afternoon but as someone who was involved in the drag scene before getting into streaming, a lot of folks should try to be more cognizant of how theyโre adding or detracting from a stream during a collab.
When youโre collaborating with someone, you have to think about two things: Am I dominating the conversation OR am I adding anything to the viewing experience.
If youโre constantly talking over others, acting like the main character of a collab, or doing antics to constantly draw group attention, it comes off as tacky. Streaming is similar to improv, you have to give people space to perform. Feeling like youโre fighting to get a word in is a horrible experience.
Iโm sure a lot of us have experienced those giant collabs where you knew no one and felt like a complete wallflower, unable to even enjoy yourself or be yourself.
That being said, you also have to give your fellow performers content to work with. When people are trying to banter with you, consider returning serve or offering a joke or conversation in return. It goes beyond replying in a dead tone, โWoah, thatโs crazy.โ The absolute worst feeling is trying to make a stream fun and feeling like no one else wants to do the heavy lifting with you.
I totally advise my fellow streamers to watch comedians, drag queens, reality television, interviews, just content that isnโt strictly streaming to get what I mean.
I know a lot of folks in this space donโt come from an entertaining background, theyโre just gamers. But, this is what separates good and bad collab experiences, in my opinion.
And ofc, lemme say this isnโt a subtweet at anyone! Iโve curated my space over the last few years so itโs something Iโve experienced less and less over time. However, itโs something Iโm always working on myself.
But yeah, being mindful can help you create some really fun streams and memories ๐
job I interviewed for called me 2 fridays ago 10 min b4 close and I was asleep
left me a voicemail saying "following up but on vacation next week so I'll get back to you if you leave a voicemail"
left a voicemail
person that called me should've been back. no call. im tired, boss
if you take comms on vgen, i think its best to make an awareness post ahead of time (even if u havent experienced this). i think theyre targeting vgen artists and messaging clients based on what we post on our portfolio there!
you might be the next target artist
confession
I dont understand what makes an art piece suggestive on these platforms
ive had like 2? pieces marked because I assume Cleavage but man you can walk outside and see that

Update regarding community safety on VGen
UNETHICAL BROKERS:
Happy to say weโve identified many previously unconfirmed JRUhub brokers, affiliates, and other unethical group accounts and they have all been banned for misrepresenting the nature of their profiles and services, intentionally inviting bad actors, and ban evading.
Big thank you to everyone in our community who has helped to investigate, report on-site, and provide detailed proof that our team were then able to review and take action on. Thank you for helping us keep the community safe!
REMAINING BROKERS:
In the short term, broker discovery has been rebalanced, their withheld funds processed through VGen Payments may not be released until after a commission is complete, and all brokers will continue to not have any invite codes. If any broker accounts mistype themselves as an individual or studio, they will now be suspended for at least 1 month immediately upon discovery.
We are still evaluating whether additional long-term actions are required.
Please do not assume all brokers are bad. However, if you do see suspicious behaviour, please continue to report them on-site and we will investigate.
ARTIST INVITE CODES:
There is now a hard limit of 2 unused artist invite codes per Verified Artist at any given time. If you earn more through a challenge or special event drop and you already have 2 in your dashboard, you wonโt receive any more.
ARTIST CODE GIVEAWAYS:
Effective Nov 1, 2026, general contests, raffles, or applications are no longer allowed, even if recipients are screened. This is due to the increasing sophistication of groups who fraudulently misrepresent themselves as individuals.
If you see someone hosting a raffle or are in violation of our Artist Code Policy in any way, please report them on-site with a screenshot or link to their violating post and weโll investigate. Their first offence will result in a warning before more severe administrative actions may be taken for repeated offences, including losing verification status and suspensions.
Please see our full VGen Artist Code Policy here: help.vgen.co/hc/en-us/articlโฆ
