Week two of Opus 5.5 failing literally every task I give it. I mean it. Not some. All. Even non-technical. All platforms. Unreadable, too.
And in between failures, it keeps asking if I’m thinking of killing myself. No, @Anthropic but I’m thinking of canceling the subscription 🤦

- Mistakes count: 57 in total
- Hours taken: 3 hours 10 minutes
No, it's not my setup: plugins, memory, MCPs, cache, projects are all wiped (~/.claude needs daily cleaning: since you broke the system prompt it can create ±500 tmp sessions from one).
Since ~20 October all sessions are like this. Every day. Same on web version.
For comparison: a Gemma 4 26B is free and does it in ~8 minutes on my old M1 Max 32GB.

Opus 5.5 was superb when it came out. Really like nothing else, closest thing to AGI. And it was like that for a few weeks.
The reason I'm not using it anymore is simply bcs I cannot trust it. It makes so many mistakes, wastes so much time, that it's absurd.
See my recent posts about it. This is Opus 5 all over again! Such a shame.

I’m not that interesting or varied. My tasks, requests and interests are more or less the same every day. So how does it fail 100 out of 100 tasks every other day? How do you even make it fail at literally everything? There are tons of GitHub issues you’re ignoring, too.
You’re the best, but this feels fraudulent, and that kind of thing usually backfires.
