The Vatican confirmed Friday that the American-born pope submitted a mail-in ballot to his native Chicago ahead of November's midterm elections. According to the Holy See press office, the move aligns with his longstanding belief in civic duty.
Before ascending to the papacy, Pope Leo XIV was Cardinal Robert Prevost. The Vatican noted that he "has exercised his right to vote as a United States citizen, whenever he was eligible to do so."

Was in a WinCo this afternoon. Bill came to $26. Earlier this week I had to cancel my debit card and order a new one due to fraud. Found out at checkout that they only accept debit cards or cash . . . no credit cards. As soon as I was out of the store a man came running after me and insisted on paying my bill.
