Amazingly, those 4 losses covered all the tops and pants:
-Washington - white/green pants
-Ohio State - green/white pants
-Virginia Tech - white/orange pants
-Tennessee - orange/white pants
Replying to @vrp2003
Loss to Washington, loss to Ohio State, back to back losses against VT and UT. The set originally had 3 jersey options (orange, green, white) and 2 pants options (green, white), with the orange pants being added mid-season in 2003.

The quality of the teams doesn't even matter.
The gap is because the ACC locked into a contract that at the time was the best in college sports until 2036. The thinking was that that contract would provide long-term stability. Instead, the market kept expanding and they are locked into a deal that significantly undervalues their product. ESPN got a steal and is going to milk it until the end.
These were the 4 seasons the Canes played in these uniforms

100%. The end of Conference Title Games and the bloated conferences means that there not only isn't a conference champion but you don't play half the teams in your conference.
Much like with the SEC, ESPN overpaid for a garbage product and now they're just going to shove it in our face constantly to try and justify it.
Yes, right up until they all figure out how to squeeze more money out of the fans, at which point they'll mutually agree to terminate that contract and expand to 100 teams.
NEW: The College Football Playoff cannot expand beyond 24 teams through the current six-year contract under the expansion agreement with ESPN, @RossDellenger reports.
The earliest it could expand again is 2032.

Some @MiamiDadeCounty buses took about an hour to pass the arena last night, after the game ended.
However, the one thing you COULD swing is to ironically go "independent" with others. Team up with FSU, Clemson, ND, anyone else who wants off the sinking ACC & Big 12 ships and get formal scheduling agreements across sports to fill in schedules.
It's the scheduling that kills you. Football you can cobble some stuff together, but even that's hard without some conference tie-in. Good schools don't play OOC in November. That's why ND's late season games are disproportionately ACC. The other sports are dead without a conference

Canes going independent- and striking streaming deal with Amazon - also has been discussed, as Ross reports. But landing in a big revenue super conference seems the more plausible play. ACC TV revenue is significantly lower than SEC's and Big 10's, and that obviously irks UM.
Very good story from Ross, who spoke to UM president. UM's interest in joining Big 10 or SEC - mostly for revenue reasons - couldn't be more clear. But the Canes don't have an offer from either conference and the challenges of leaving ACC anytime soon remain, with that issue complicated by whether the House passes Protect College Sports Act.
They just erased Julio Frenk turning UHealth around
In the "second tier" of college sports' caste system, Miami is positioning itself for a conference move while exploring football independence and fighting against a federal bill.
