It’s time to bring out this bad boy again.
Things artists have actually messaged me as an excuse:
- “I actually thought I contacted you, but that was a false memory”
- “I was too afraid to message you after one year”
- “I know you paid thousands over a ago, but if you pay X more I will do a rush delivery now”
- “I'll update you this week” (every day for four months)
- “Sorry I just got home a homeless person stabbed a hole in my tyre today”
- “I didn't intend on scamming you”
- “I admit I am one of the artists that have failed you. But I am not ALL of the artists who have failed you”
- “Your commission money represents a trauma to me”
- [Day before my debut] “I've gone to war and I can't refund you”
Stop coming up with excuses and over explaining your personal life. This is a professional relationship 💔 .
It’s on you, the artist, to find a system that works to update clients regularly, and finish the commission. personally, I am happy to go 1 month without an update because I know things get busy. abusing this and not replying for 4+ months at a time is horrific.
