CityPost did plenty big street surveys in Bihar and that gave us pollsters good pulse. RN News Nabha Youtuber lady is also doing in Ghazipur region. The Bihari accent is wonderful. Vinod Tak is another Youtuber who is doing near Bihar border, he did some early surveys in Tamkuhi Raj. P2Salt is also doing near Bihar border in Tamkuhi Raj, Salempur, and nearby seats. 1. UP-403 seats.
2. Seat count has kind of stabilized now. Others-4. NDA-170. INDI-229.
3. Thus INDI winning Uttar Pradesh as of date.
4. Some people are pinging me farmer flood compensation announcement by CM Yogi.
5. It doesnt move the needle. Earlier 9 lakh odd farmers were given around 5000 as flood relief. CM has announced an additional 25% which works out 1250. I am not saying this is inadequate. Any money to farmers is to be appreciated.
6. CM Yogi can have a reasonable chance to win UP if he shows determination and actions to resolve chutta pashu and fertilizer mess. So far CM has not said a word and that is why I keep saying CM has no awareness on which issues he is lacking.
7. I am hearing pensions issues even now, public not received pensions for 7-8 months. Note this is not a universal issue, but affects a subset of pension beneficiaries.

Him and likes ride a Yogi FOMO praise wave.1 Yogi's fantastic work on crushing mafia in UP and Yogi's good work on UP infrastructure hides his incompetence and hides his inability to resolve a variety of issues impacting common citizens. Yogi himself has no awareness of his lack of competence. Thus he rides the surge given to him by Dholak bajao gangs.
There are couple of parallels. Stalin thought he was a brilliant CM giving TN 11% growth and he rode a venomous anti Delhi propaganda wave. His supporters on Twitter all have vanished today - literally 100s of huge X handles indulged in non stop anti Vijay and anti Modi shrill vulgar campaign. Stalin himself lost and lost TN. He had no clues to bitter anti incumbency on ground.
Arvind Kejriwal was in same mode screaming that Bjp and Modi can never win Delhi. His supporters often talked of him as a future PM. None of these clowns were aware of deep anti incumbency on ground. He not only lost Delhi, the clown lost his own seat.
Similarly neither is Yogi aware of brutal anti incumbency in rural areas of UP nor his supporters. To them Yogi is god and next PM of the world.

1. Yogi is taking BJP to a historic shock defeat in 2027.
2. Current NDA number is 169.
3. Most of the guys estimating a Yogi win are just on a hormonal surge about incompetent bulldozer.
4. Because half a dozen astros say Yogi and half a dozen Yogi ka dholak bajao analysts/pollsters say Yogi, others are jumping the Yogi FOMO bandwagon.
5. I have seen leaders, elections for 40 years and I am saying here unequivocally. Yogi is the most dysfunctional BJP CM as of date. He has nil clues to ground problems. BJP should have sacked or replaced Yogi after the 2024 debacle. There were lot of warnings. But somehow even AmitShah and PM are also caught in a Yogi FOMO surge.
6. Unless you poll the biggest concentrated vote bank in UP-Farmers, you will have no idea how terrible it is.

US Midterms and Trump epic rout. The below is a savage and epic acceptance of the reasons for rout of President Trump in the midterms by Vice President JDVance. He is so frank that in my view he has also killed his own chances for a run at 2028 Presidential election. The Trump war was by far the long black swan event for the markets and for livelihoods of huge numbers of people in the world as gas, diesel, petrol prices climbed steeply. Petrol products reserves have dipped dangerously around the world. Thanks Vance Sir for pointing out Trump's huge mistakes indirectly. Your frankness is appreciated. In a way you have actually dumped Trump and that was badly needed, I wont be surprised if he asks you to quit, egotist that he is. 10s of 1000s killed needlessly, pouring hardship on a aggrieved civilization. The United States foreign policy has gone for a toss, its overseas leadership wrecked by Trump. The Middle East is left hugely unstable. There is no doubt that Trump needs to go, if possible invoke the 25th amendment as soon as possible.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Each state has separate voting rules. East coast states started counting votes while west coast was still voting. And the TV news was splashing leads. Kis type ka idiotic system hai. Twitter is agog with jokes like a guy voted 4 times in NYCity in different booths. One guy tweeted that he drove over from Canada and voted and returned. Early voting starts a month earlier. Counting in some states takes 3 weeks. Different states have separate Supreme courts. Plus the ballot to vote has stupid local items. Last night I saw a news flash. One state people have to vote whether bird feeding should be allowed or disallowed. The Senate gets voted 1/3rd every time. Governors get elected but not sure what their powers are. Kevalam (Pathetic) is the only word for this system.
