The psychological humiliation Bucky experiences right here gets overlooked because of how badass the choreography looks, but think about what it actually means for his fragile state of mind.
He spent decades being mind-controlled by Hydra assassins using trigger words, fighting tooth and nail to reclaim his own free will, only to realize that the nation he trusted to heal him baked a literal off-switch right into his new arm.
It raises a fascinating ethical debate about whether he was ever truly free or if he just traded one master for a more sophisticated, well-meaning one.

bucky is for the people that love deeply but always end up alone. bucky is for the people who question if healing from their past is even possible. bucky is for people that aren’t sure if they know themselves. bucky is for the people that live their lives always misunderstood.
