"Your habits are often a byproduct of convenience. Humans are wired to seek the path of least resistance, which means the most convenient option is often the one that wins. Make good choices more convenient and bad choices less so. Behavior will improve naturally." -@JamesClear

Life is a series of tradeoffs, and greater results usually require greater tradeoffs. The question is not, “Do you want to be great at this?” The question is, “What are you willing to give up in order to be great at this?”

The NBA’s app for Apple Vision Pro is a real game changer for basketball fans — now you can watch multiple games with real-time scores and stats on an infinite canvas! Thanks to the NBA app development team and Adam Silver for taking me through how they designed it. 🏀

When I go into a situation, I try to keep a mindset of baseline optimism. -When starting the day: It's going to be a good day. -When meeting someone new: I'm going to like them. -When trying something challenging: It's going to work out. Problems will inevitably arise and I'll deal with them as the situation demands, but my preference is to assume I'm on a winning path until proven otherwise.

Maintain a margin of safety. If your life is designed only to handle the expected challenges, then it will fall apart as soon as something unexpected happens to you. Always be stronger than you need to be. Leave room for the unexpected.

the fight for the future is a struggle between technological-driven growth and managed decline. the growth path has inherent risks and challenges along with its fantastic upside, and the decline path has guaranteed long-term disaster. stasis is a myth.

It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is. If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong. In that simple statement is the key to science.
