Another excellent performance yesterday against a very strong Counts side. Both sides limiting each other to very few chances. Unfortunately an error on the edge of our box proves the difference between the two sides. We couldn’t find the equaliser in the second half despite positive changes and performances from the players entering from the bench. A draw probably would have reflected the game better but that’s football and we move on to Dorking B at the weekend. #Magpies

Credit where credit is due. Dial managed the game in the later stages very well. Unfortunately for us after taking the lead we were pegged back fairly quickly. Last night we played some of the best football we have all season. Sometimes that just isn’t enough and a wayward cross put us 2-1 down in the second half. Pushing bodies forward searching for the equaliser sees us go 3-1 down in the 90th minute to seal our cup exit. Some real positives to take away from the last two weeks, we keep playing the way we have with minor adjustments we can become a real force here. #Magpies

The game, we went behind to some great play by the opposition who caused us a few problems early doors. Once we’d resolved those we got ourselves back into it and started to heavily influence the game. We got ourselves level and then in front just before the half. We faced some early pressure in the second half forcing some changes which helped to get us back on top of the game. We dealt with a lot of what Westfield threw at us and finally put the game to bed late on in the second half. Fantastic performances not only individually but as a collective. Worked hard, executed the game plan and even got a little bit of luck which we’ve been devoid of recently. Great result, now comes consistency. #Magpies

Firstly this morning, what a fabulous place to go yesterday. Pitch and facilities are exceptional and the committee and volunteers down there were welcoming, great hospitality @WestfieldFC9 My thanks to you all for a great match day experience. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Nest next year.

A game of football devoid of much quality for vast periods. We did produce some very good moments in the game. Including the solitary goal . Some fantastic work from Mase and a superb finish by Riley. Again defensively we limited the oppo to speculative long range efforts and deliveries into a well defended box. Important to get 3 points when you’re not quite at it and another clean sheet. #Magpies

Pressure is a privilege, I’m a firm believer in that. Football certainly provides that in spells! Sometimes though it can be mentally and physically draining for those involved in it. That’s where I’m at, drained and tired. I don’t think that’s always understood fully by players, they expect the manager to be infallible, shedding some light on it is important sometimes. The one thing that supposed to provide the release for all of us involved occasionally turns into something that makes things worse. Bad runs happen, frustration creeps in and everything feels harder. It’s where you learn the most. Pushing through these patches is hard on everyone involved. Having to constantly self motivate to provide motivation for players. We must all be mental! On to tomorrow!

After a poor first 20 minutes we start to get some cohesion and rhythm. We deservedly get ourselves back in the game just before the end of the first half. We talk about small margins in football and that’s what we dealt with last night. Their GK makes a superb save midway through the second half and the rebound is blocked. From this they go up the other end and score their 3rd. The performance was positive overall and gives us a good platform ahead of the weekend. #Magpies

Draws in football. Some feel like victories, some feel like defeats. I’ve had both this week. Defensively we were so good yesterday. Offensively we limited ourselves in reality. Some days you are just missing the quality on the ball and that’s where we were at yesterday. We move on to Tuesday and then there is light at the end of the tunnel with the ability to train twice a week again. #Magpies

Was good to get out and see some football last night at CDG. Little Common had a superb chance to go 3-0 up and I think it would have been quite different if they had. Credit to CDG who get themselves back in it to go in 2-2 at the half. They scored very quickly into the second half and then caught LC on the break as they were pushing for an equaliser to wrap it up. Great comeback. Good to see some familiar faces in the crowd and experience groundhop from the other side.

Football is a game of risks. We took them last night. We made changes to counter specific threats and they came off. We executed the game plan in the first half especially well and JB found it hard to lay a glove on us. They eventually got their breakthrough just before the half and probably edged the second half. Our defending was resolute and the shift the boys put in was fantastic, great reaction to Saturday. Feel for two of the lads who didn’t get many minutes. Hard thing to do as a manager especially on a Tuesday night with a long away game. #Magpies

Watched the game live yesterday, technology enabling that was one of the only real positives. Result and performance aside I’m disgusted to hear that one of my players was racially abused by one of the opposition players. Not once but twice. What’s even worse and more damning is the fact that it was reported to the referee by his own linesman and he refused to act or even go over to the second incident. It has to be addressed the only way to solve these ongoing incidents is to shine light on them. Absolute disgrace. Last I’ll say on it as it’s now in the hands of the FA. #Magpies

Family wedding today. Missing my second home game of the season. Mad to think we are October next week and I still haven’t been in the dugout at home for a league game. Hate missing games! Teams in safe hands with @GrahamShergold1 and @MasseyZac11 today. Go well gents. Keep our unbeaten home form! 🤣

A far better performance last night as we ring the changes. Only 5 players remaining from Saturdays starting 11 A disallowed equaliser leads to us conceding a second that should probably be disallowed that’s football. Came out in the second half and rode a patch of pressure and then dominated the second half. Grabbing a well deserved goal by a lad who lives 3 minutes from the ground on his debut for the club. If it wasn’t for some superb defending from the hosts it would have gone to pens. That’s football, you lose some games but it was fantastic to see us play so well for vast periods of last night. #Magpies
