Today, we returned to the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit to argue against the illegal National Guard deployment in DC.
We are staying in this fight because the US military should not be policing American citizens anywhere in America — and that includes DC.
The continued presence of thousands of armed National Guard troops in the District infringes on our fundamental rights and our local autonomy.
It also sets an incredibly dangerous precedent for our country that we cannot afford to leave unchallenged.
It is long past time for this illegal deployment to end.
We celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day & honor the history, resilience, & living cultures of Native communities across the country. Today is a day to keep pushing for policies that respect tribal sovereignty and Indigenous voices.

Today’s air quality is Code Purple, which means air pollution is unhealthy for the general public, and especially sensitive groups, including children, older adults and people with heart or lung disease. Sensitive groups should avoid prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
The advisory is partially due to incoming wildfire smoke combined with the area’s ozone levels. Visit airnow.gov to stay up to date on air quality changes.
