i rented a car this week for few days & my lord i don’t think many ppl realize how cognitively expensive driving is. it requires constant spatial awareness, you gotta predict other ppl’s dumb behaviors, make a fuck ton of micro decisions, etc. like jesus christ i am tired after like 30 min esp on busy city streets. oh & i specifically rented a tesla to avoid this but they don’t even have self driving or option for it because of the liabilities i’m guessing.
