Decent men apply the "Napier Protocol" to a conflict in cultures. General Sir Charlies Napier was Britain's 19th century commander-in-chief of India.
When asked to respect the Indian custom of burning widows on their husband's funeral pyre, he replied:
"Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs."
Always excited when I find some new (new to me) "Death of" paintings. Here (left), the great Athenian statesman Pericles, succumbing to plague during the Peloponnesian War, and Pericles (right), in a rare moment of emotion, at the bed of his son Paralus, he too succumbing to plague (this is extraordinary in capturing his anguish).

Pericles at the Deathbed of His Son (1851) — François-Nicolas Chifflart
What on earth happened to Britain? It changed from ruler of the free world to a Stalinist Gulag Archipelago so suddenly it defies belief.
The absolute simple f*cking accuracy of this
What has happened to @TRobinsonNewEra could happen to anyone who speaks up with how the future of the UK looks.

Holy cow. Every leftist American outlet is reporting "Netanyahu Rebuked," and yet it looks like his Likud Party will win.
The difference between America and everywhere else in the world. Oh Founders were geniuses.
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Physical comedy will never not be funny. Exactly why Buster Keaton was funny then, funny now, and will always be.

State sponsored foreign actors spending billions to influence American elections. I'm not shocked at all.
Forget AI, nothing will ever by more complicated and more beautiful than the living cell.
Nailed it Paige. Civic Centers springing up all over the country present a genuine opportunity to recapture the ideals of a true liberal education back from ideologues.
It is not wonder these very same ideologues, like Timothy Messer-Krauss, are working overtime to either crush them or, failing that, conquer them,
In the movies, the bad guys wear black, and are given names like Dr Evil, but if you want to know what true face of evil looks like in the diabolical treasonous halls of "higher" education, look no further than Krauss.
Echoing the tired progressive dogma of Woodrow Wilson, he loathes our Constitution as a relic from history, and given the opportunity, he'd set it ablaze for the Communist Manifesto.
“This is why it is dangerous and usually wrong to look to some ‘original’ Constitution for answers to the political problems of today.”
“Liberty and security in this modern world has become more dependent on a distant government, not less.”
“Islam is as dangerous in a man as rabies in a different.”
Wow, this is what Yemen looked like in the 1960s under British rule. That was over half a century ago, but it looked decades more advanced than Yemen does today.
It’s almost unbelievable compared to what the country has become. And it’s a testament to how quickly a country can collapse once Islam reigns supreme.
OMG, this is amazing. In the old days, "we needed more cow bell," today, "we need more data centers."
