Goodbye my friend. Over the years one friendship kept growing that I never expected… but every time I traveled there was always one person there: Farooq Ahmad. Farooq, you were one of the kindest and most honorable men I’ve met. Your positivity and upbeat energy always uplifted me and made our trips better. Whether we were filming, flying, or taking an Uber with 4 hours of sleep, you made each moment fun and unforgettable. I respected Farooq’s deep commitment to his values and faith, and from my time with him I knew he always upheld them even when no one was looking. He left an indelible mark on our community, and his absence will be felt for a very, very long time. I can’t fully put into words the shock and sadness I feel today. Just weeks ago we were flying across the country, meeting Tom Holland, and the two of us sat down for a late dinner after working for 5 straight days. We talked about PUBG MOBILE, but over the years our conversations broadened. As we got to know each other we discussed life, family, and the world. I will greatly miss our conversations and seeing you every few months on our adventures. So many of my fondest memories include Farooq. From movie premieres and driving race cars, to amazing meals and funny vlogs, he will always be a part of my best moments as a creator. Farooq was a true friend and finding someone of his caliber is rare. Rest in peace, Farooq.
