#MicrosoftFabric Apps + Rayfin + Copilot Code puts enormous power into the hands of every copilot user, with full IT control. Super inspiring to see what our CEO is doing with all this power :)
Some more detail on the ROIC Intelligence App I built yesterday and mentioned on today's earnings call. I took the PDF that Brian Nowak at Morgan Stanley put together for Hyperscale ROIC this week and used Copilot code (coming in our new superapp) with a single prompt + skill (/drill-me) to create the plan, then used autopilot in auto to create the full app (with history, lookups, scenarios, what-ifs, etc). And /rubber-duck to test. And the best part is that all the artifacts are in my enterprise environment. My app is in Copilot, my code is in GitHub Enterprise; all my data pipelines/lake/semantic models are in Fabric. And everything is under Agent 365 IT/Sec/FinOps control! So this is not about Tokenmaxxing or vibe coding. Every step of the way the rails are engineered to create value, making everything a long-term reusable asset, with governance/security, and cost controls. This is the full system to drive business value. Disclosures: This is all pulled from public sources, and for illustrative purposes only...not financial advice! :) Here is the app and architecture...

Love this end-to-end example from @jeffhollan of what is now possible when you build long-running agents with Foundry. All now GA.
Hosted Agents in Microsoft Foundry is now Generally Available! This brings agent native compute for your agents with any framework, any language, and any model 🚀 Build with the GitHub Copilot App, connect to Microsoft IQ, run in Foundry, securely interact with Microsoft Teams, govern in Agent 365, and optimize to compound your learnings continuously -- such a valuable combo. Check out the demo / blog below to see it in action! azure.microsoft.com/en-us/bl…

I'm delighted to jointly author this year-end summary of research advances with @DemisHassabis and James Manyika, on behalf of all of our colleagues across @GoogleDeepMind, @GoogleResearch and @Google. We look at research advances across eight different areas. These summaries are always fun to work on because one can reflect back on the breadth and depth of our collective work over the last year! blog.google/technology/ai/20…

PyTorch announced Monarch which is meant to simplify distributed programming—your code looks and feels like a single-machine Python program, but can scale across thousands of GPUs. You can directly use Pythonic constructs—classes, functions, loops, tasks, futures—to express complex distributed algorithms. pytorch.org/blog/introducing… The code base is about 5 months old: github.com/meta-pytorch/mona…

GPUsss go brrrrr!
Another first for our AI fleet... a supercomputing cluster of NVIDIA GB300s with 4600+ GPUs and featuring next gen InfiniBand. First of many as we scale to hundreds of thousands of GB300s across our DCs, and rethink every layer of the stack across silicon, systems, and software to support next gen AI workloads.

AI Economics depends on efficient token factories and highly performant agent frameworks that deliver enterprise outcomes! That is why we are excited about Microsoft Agent Framework. You can now build, orchestrate, and scale multi-agent systems in Azure AI Foundry using this framework. It brings together our best-in-class runtime from AutoGen with the enterprise foundations of Semantic Kernel, with compliance, observability, and deep integration out of the box.

If intelligence is the log of compute… it starts with a lot of compute! And that’s why we’re scaling our GPU fleet faster than anyone else. Just last year, we added over 2 gigawatts of new capacity – roughly the output of 2 nuclear power plants. And today we’re going further, announcing the world's most powerful AI datacenter, located in southeastern Wisconsin. Fairwater is a seamless cluster of hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200s, connected by enough fiber to circle the Earth 4.5 times. It will deliver 10x the performance of the world’s fastest supercomputer today, enabling AI training and inference workloads at a level never before seen. For AI training workloads, you need compute at exponential scale. That’s why we designed the datacenter, GPU fleet, and network together as one integrated system. This ensures a single job can run from day 1 at exponential scale across thousands of GPUs. Fairwater uses a liquid-cooled closed-loop system for cooling GPUs that requires zero water for operations after construction. And we’re matching all of the energy that is consumed with renewable sources. And of course, it is just one of several similar sites we’re lighting up across our 70+ regions. We have multiple identical Fairwater datacenters under construction in other locations across the US, in addition to our AI infrastructure already deployed in over 100 datacenters around the world, powering model training, test-time compute, RL tuning, and real-time inference at global scale. Too often during times like this, people go with the current and only later wonder, how did we get here? With Fairwater, we're charting a new path: doing the hard engineering work, bringing compute, network, and storage into one highly scaled cluster, and designing closed-loop energy systems to meet real-world computing needs. And partnering with local communities to ensure it's thoughtfully done in a way that is sustainable, creates new jobs, and expands opportunity. We are thrilled to see this take hold in Wisconsin, and we are just getting started.

When choosing a benchmark, you can have 2 of the 3 properties: 1. Realistic 2. Difficult 3. Quick evaluation Chatbot Arena is 1 + 3, HLE is 1 + 2. Our work (UQ) is 1 + 2, and for 3, evaluation happens over time with help from the community.
New paper! We explore a radical paradigm for AI evals: assessing LLMs on *unsolved* questions. Instead of contrived exams where progress ≠ value, we eval LLMs on organic, unsolved problems via reference-free LLM validation & community verification. LLMs solved ~10/500 so far:
