🚨 CHILD ABUSE IMAGE DISTRIBUTOR AVOIDS IMMEDIATE JAIL - SOME VICTIMS AS YOUNG AS 3
Gary Oglesby, 67, of Anlaby Common, used apps to conceal indecent images of children, including a “Secret Photo Vault”, Hull Crown Court heard.
His collection included images of a boy aged just 3–5.
He admitted six offences of making indecent images of children, alongside distributing indecent images and possessing extreme pornography involving bestiality.
Police uncovered evidence that he distributed images via WhatsApp between 2019 and 2020. The material included Category A images — the most serious classification — as well as Category B and C images.
Other images dated back to 2009–10.
Recorder Taryn Turner said his offending went “significantly beyond simple possession”, warning that viewing and distributing the material sustained demand for abuse that causes children “profound and lasting harm”.
His sentence? Two years and eight months in prison, suspended.
He must comply with probation requirements, has been made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
The children depicted were real victims of sexual abuse. Every image shared circulates their exploitation again, stripping them of privacy and control over the record of their abuse, yet Oglesby will not go straight to prison.

🚨 VOLUNTEER IMAM JAILED FOR SIX YEARS AFTER SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TWO GIRLS AGED JUST FIVE AND SEVEN
Shah Masukur Rashid, 45, exploited his position as a volunteer Quranic tutor at a mosque in Cheltenham to gain unsupervised access to young children in family homes.
Between October 2018 and January 2019, he sexually touched two girls, aged five to seven, over and under their clothing.
Gloucester Crown Court convicted Rashid of six counts of sexual assault — two involving one girl and four involving the other.
His abuse came to light after the children were overheard describing him as “creepy”. When relatives questioned them, the girls disclosed what he had done during their Quran lessons.
Rashid was supposed to be teaching children, not abusing the trust placed in him by their families. He was jailed for six years.

Labour MP Apsana Begum is back on X talking about Bangladesh. Again.
She's paid nearly £100,000 a year to represent her British constituents.
Now her latest post has attracted a rather embarrassing community note, “Apsana Begum is a UK MP. Due to the huge amounts of posts about issues in Bangladesh it is important that her constituents realise she is supposed to be representing them.”
Another Labour MP publicly embarrassed through X's community notes.
Her constituents are entitled to ask where her priorities lie.

They’re drawing our attention to the indoor pool at the White House.
FDR had the pool installed.
Nixon had the pool covered.
Kennedy had a mural installed around the pool.
Either there is something “they” are drawing our attention to regarding that pool, or it’s a distraction.

⚖️ FORMER IMMIGRATION JUDGE AVOIDED IMMEDIATE JAIL AFTER CHILD ABUSE IMAGE CONVICTION
Michael Shrimpton, a barrister and former fee-paid immigration judge, was convicted in February 2014 of an offence involving indecent images of children.
Police recovered 40 images from an encrypted USB memory stick seized during a search of his home in April 2012. Investigators recovered image data that appeared to have been deleted.
Despite the conviction, he received a three-year supervision order and a five-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order, rather than immediate imprisonment.
He was also subject to sex offender notification requirements.
Shrimpton claimed the evidence had been tampered with and that the memory stick had been switched to discredit him. His appeal against the conviction failed.
He was later disbarred in 2019.
A former member of the legal profession convicted of a child-related offence - yet spared immediate prison.
