The Liberals studied this closely, and realized that if they extended MAID for people solely suffering from mental illness....they'd be killing too many of their supporters.

What a time to be alive. The most ridiculous lies are used to steal millions and pollute our school curriculums. But simply asking for evidence is forbidden. At least the Chinese and Russians had dictators to impose totalitarianism. Canadians happily choose totalitarianism.

There’s an arrogance in Canada that I’ve grown tired of. This constant attitude that somehow we’re morally superior to Americans. That we’re smarter, kinder, more civilized — simply because we’re Canadian. It’s pompous. And frankly, it’s embarrassing. America isn’t perfect. Neither is Canada. But Americans openly celebrate their country, defend their freedoms, reward ambition and actually debate what their nation stands for. Meanwhile, too much of Canadian identity has become: “At least we’re not American.” That’s not an identity. That’s insecurity disguised as superiority. What exactly do we stand for anymore? Being Canadian should mean something more than looking down our noses at the people next door. I want a Canada that earns our pride — not one that assumes it. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

I have to fact check Donald Trump because he keeps spewing nonsense in regards to the US - Canada trade and none of the people around him seem to have the spine to correct him. > "we lose $60-$100B doing business with Canada". No you don't. The US buys discounted oil from Canada that greatly contributes to the country. Also this is goods based deficit. If you add services, which the US has a $25B+ in trade surplus in Canada than the actual trade deficit is much smaller, around $21B according to USTR in 2025. That's on $880B in the two trade. ~3%. > "we have more oil & gas". No you don't. Canada has more oil and almost double the gas - which is just starting to be developed at scale. We also have different type of oil which aren't substitutes and bring massive value to the US. > "we don't need their lumber". Yes you do. Not only Canada has much more lumber, the dominant supplier to the US but it is also a different type. Because of the climate, species and fiber. It is used for different purposes. Canadian lumber is used for framing, roof trusses, 2×4, 2×6. > "They do most of their business with us, I heard 95%". False, he should also know it. Canada send 70% of it merchandise exports to the US. > "We do very small percentage (business) compares to others." False. Canada is America largest export market and biggest trading partner of 25 states. Also in regards to the auto industry: the US has trade surplus with Canada. The US doesn't need anything from Canada? Besides the above, yes you do. Canada has all the critical minerals the US needs and wants and makes NA self sufficient. This also why they want to secure its trade as part of the negotiations. The US - Canada trade is highly beneficial and intertwined; manufacturing systems are integrated, energy is physically joined, infrastructure like rail run across continuously, Canadian pension funds are some of the largest institutio investors in America. We move faster together. Let's build.

🚨 Sec. Scott Bessent is MIC DROPPING Canada PM Mark Carney! This man never misses. "We've had a FREE RIDER problem with Canada. And PM Carney, after getting a verbal BEATDOWN from myself and Hegseth, said: 'Stop throwing shade to get negotiations?' Well, HE'S the one who said WE'RE AT WAR!" "Canada had a great military. They were right there at the forefront on the beaches of D-Day, and what the Canadian government has done to the Canadian Armed Forces, if you look at the ranks of NATO spending, they are near the very BOTTOM, like they're cellar dwellers around with Spain in terms of their military spending to GDP!" "And why is that? Because they were free riding." "The Canadian businesses are not with the Prime Minister, the Canadian military is not with the Prime Minister." "And, you know, he thinks that he got to office on an anti-Trump, anti-Americans, the platform, and it's not going to work out in the long term." 🔥🔥🔥

Looks like there will be no deal as originally predicted for trade deal. 15% tariff on auto would be a death sentence for Canada's auto sector as they only operate at an avg of 6% margin vs having the manufacturing stateside.
