When Manchester United signed Harry Maguire in 2019, Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot were already defensive options. In 2026, all three are still key options and regular starters when fit.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have completely rebuilt their defence. None of their current defensive options were there in 2019. They had David Luiz, Calum Chambers, Mavropanos, Kieran Tierney, Nacho Monreal and Héctor Bellerín, among others.
That contrast tells you a lot about why Arsenal have built one of Europe's best defences while United continue to struggle with inconsistency. Ambition reflects in performances. There is no shortcut to success.

Funny how Martinez gets praised for the same energy Ronaldo was hated for.Pundits literally campaigned to kick CR7 out. Just shows the massive hypocrisy and bias against Cristiano. Everything he does or says gets blindly criticized.

Carragher knows he’s a fake and a fraud.
Neville loves it because he’s thinking of the clicks whilst Carragher is fuming he has to sit at the same table as him.
Says everything.

Man City report £2.4m profit. Overall revenue £569.8m, beats Man Utd £494.1m. But this is misleading as no fans/little matchday revenue. Plus City won title and reached CL final.

Season ticket banned. No proof of touting found, so they blamed personal attendance, volume of away applications, and number of bank cards used.
I attended all 19 home games, and applied for all 19 away games (like most do), and used 2 cards throughout the season. Disgrace.

People blaming Tiktok for the A66 crash in Middlesbrough who still believe its some kind of tragic accident need to wake up
Cole Worthy, Jakub Hewitt, Makai Saddington, Michael Ray and Theo Rae were not just some random kids following a tiktok trend
They were part of a group of scuffy ***** that make life miserable for the good people of our town
Torturing old people, robbing, hitting people as they pass on their bikes, throwing stones at random people, Vandalism. I could go on all day
Their families and friends are holding balloon releases and vigils. They genuinely believe they are the victims here. "Good lads" "Wouldnt hurt a soul"
Maybe you should have given a f*ck about them when they were alive and they wouldnt have turned into complete and utter scumbags
Now two police officers have been murdered. Call this what it is
No shame, no common sense, no morals, no respect for others, no social awareness (they never have it)
See it all the time here
The real people of Middlesbrough hate you with a passion

Just been sent this. People are waking up and realising that our once great club is now owned and run by parasites. Treating fans like scum, the anger they have for season ticket holders who don’t spend thousands in the club shop is clear as day. GET THEM OUT

27 years ago Rupert Murdoch was not allowed to buy Manchester United, btw.
The Monopolies and Mergers Commission (MMC) investigated the deal for six months. They concluded that owning the club would "increase BSkyB’s already dominant market power over premium sports television channels."
So how is Jeff Bezos, who already holds a streaming license for PL games via Prime Video, allowed to bid for a football club?
If Jeff Bezos buys a stake in Liverpool, streaming rights and match-day revenue will be on his radar not transfers, writes @DKingTelegraph #LFC ⤵️
