So sorry, hope tomorrow is a better day ❤️‍🩹 You keep doing you Ches ❤️ And keep that Kenji under control ❤️
It's been a ruff few days. The cooler temperatures triggered some nerve pain and inflammation in my human, and the snow made the sidewalks kinda sketchy. She's having a tough time getting into her happy spot. Nothing I've tried so far has helped and even my attempt to cuddle caused pain. Few things are sadder than seeing someone you love hurt and not being able to help. But tomorrow's a new day though. I'll sniff out enough happiness for both of us. There will probably even be enough left over to share with you too.

Not every dog wants to be a skeleton. Some would rather just be a couch. If your dog actually likes the costume, you can get them used to it with short sessions and treats so it starts feeling like a good thing. But if they're panting, stressed, or giving you that look like they regret every life choice, take it off. A dog that's miserable in an outfit isn't being festive. They're being held hostage in felt and velcro. Taking them out for trick-or-treating sounds cute until you remember the neighborhood turns into pure chaos. Costumes everywhere, decorations that make noise, and those animatronics that jump at the worst possible moment. Your dog's brain is trying to process way more than it signed up for. Make sure they have lots of room and don't have to get too close to the giant animatronics or people in strange outfits. Keep an eye on their body language. Lip licking, wide eyes, tail tucked. If you see it, just head home. A scared dog can panic and make bad choices, and that puts everyone at risk. You're in charge of both ends of that leash. And please, if they look like they're smiling, remember that there is a good chance they're stress panting. Home needs to stay calm. All those strangers in masks ringing the doorbell nonstop is a lot for most dogs. Set them up in a quiet room with some white noise, a stuffed Kong, and zero access to the door. They didn't sign up to greet the world's creepiest parade. Halloween's for the dogs too. It's fine to mess around at home with them in their costumes before the trick-or-treaters show up, then just settle them down with their own treats. Either way the goal's the same: your dog feels okay, and you get to enjoy the night without dealing with a meltdown. Admin

You look so beautiful when you are sleeping Ches 🥰
It's snowing outside. The weather app says conditions will not be favorable for gardening in the morning. I did not ask about digging.

Welker to Lavrov: "Here are the facts. Close to 50,000 civilians have either been killed or injured in this war. Russia has hit maternity wards, churches, schools, hospitals, a kindergarten just this week. So either the Russian military has terrible aim or you are targeting civilians. Which is it?"

This past week alone, Russia has launched around 1,600 guided aerial bombs, 48 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles, and nearly 2,300 attack drones against Ukraine. Unfortunately, almost every day, these brutal strikes leave people killed and injured. In the evening, Russian strikes on the Dnipro region killed four people. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 22 people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl. In Vinnytsia, a Russian drone struck a high-rise apartment building. Six people were injured. In Kharkiv, the Russians first struck a home improvement hypermarket and then carried out a cynical double-tap strike on the emergency services that arrived at the scene. First responders were injured. There were also strikes overnight on a thermal power plant, substations, coal mines, grain storage facilities, shopping malls, and a postal logistics hub. Damage has been reported in nine regions. This is how Russia responds to diplomacy and deisolation. And it is very important that support for those who protect lives not diminish alongside the negotiation process. We need to unblock the deliveries of Patriot interceptors already approved by European countries. We need to continue supporting Ukrainian combat aviation to defend against jet-powered “shaheds.” Every such defense package, especially ahead of winter, helps save lives. I thank all partners who provide this kind of support.

This is amazing. 🥲 Yes, there are a lot of people who care about these survivors. Let's see if they remember them when they vote. Because the Government is still not releasing all the files.

Park’s closed. Vest is glowing. Highest platform is now under new management. ✨🌟 Service dog hours are over. Currently up here watching the stars and deciding which ones look the most fetchable. If I could bring one down, I’d give the brightest one to my person. She could use a little extra hope and light right now. We’re working toward something special, and a little help would make all the difference in getting there. 🌟🎾✨

Another way to think about Trump announcement today: If he increased US diesel imports from Canada by 4%, he would gain as much fuel as from this Russia deal. But the Canadians are global super-villains, so who wants to buy from them when you could enrich Putin instead?

BREAKING: Trump made a deal with Yemen’s Houthis in a secret meeting, promising not to strike seized Houthi-held territory or support Saudi Arabia and Saudi-backed forces in any form, in exchange for keeping the Bab el-Mandeb open to shipping, except to Saudi vessels, per Reuters. The meeting, organized with Oman’s help and not made public, came days after Trump rejected MBS's request for US strikes on the Houthis. MBS called Trump twice asking for strikes and air support and Trump refused both times. US officials met representatives of Yemen’s Houthis at the US Embassy in Muscat on Sunday, days after the Houthis routed Saudi-backed forces and seized the entire Red Sea coast, with the Houthis telling the US they have no intention of attacking American vessels, remain committed to the 2025 ceasefire, and will not attack Israeli ships or any commercial vessels except those belonging to Saudi Arabia. The Houthi delegation included Mohammad Abdulsalam, who is under US sanctions, and the group has been a US-designated terrorist organization since March 2025.

This epitomizes the task ahead. The Defense Department and the military, like the rest of the government, need first to be saved from the current threat of total politicization and authoritarianism--but also need to be reformed to escape interest group and bureaucratic capture.
US defense giants Lockheed and Raytheon are reportedly resistant to licensing Patriot missile production to Ukraine because they fear that Ukrainian manufacturers will be able to “improve the Patriot and then produce them at scale faster and for much less money.” -The Atlantic

Would any journalist ask POTUS what the debt was when he became President and what it is now? If he doesn’t know, tell him. Why clamber after him with follow ups for his inane statements? Just ask undeniable questions that have factual answers.

This barbaric Russian war crime in Kherson requires international condemnation and justice, yet thousands of similar crimes never reach the public eye. This is a deliberate and systemic Russian strategy. They know exactly what they are doing. The sadist operating this drone knows full well that he is targeting a civilian. This horrific video proves that Russian barbarians will try to repeat their genocidal atrocities of Bucha wherever they can reach. A lasting peace requires comprehensive justice for such horrific crimes, a powerful defense and deterrence package for Ukraine, and reliable, guaranteed security for our people.
🚨 BREAKING: Russian drone operator hunts down civilian market vendor in Ukraine’s Kherson. Police video captured the moment a Russian drone hunted down a 52-year-old civilian market vendor, leaving him severely wounded with blast trauma and shrapnel injuries. A war crime filmed in real-time.

We need a massive change in defense strategy. In less than 5 months—against a second rate military—US has used about half of all Patriot and THAAD missiles. US only makes 50 Patriot and 8 THAAD missiles a month. Russia and China will outlast US in future wars unless we change.
The New York Times reports that President Donald J. Trump has, for now, paused plans to significantly expand U.S. strikes against Iran after senior military leaders warned that doing so could dangerously deplete Patriot interceptor and other air defense missile stockpiles needed to protect U.S. forces in the Middle East. According to the report, the administration is weighing those military constraints alongside the risks of broader regional escalation, while continuing economic pressure and leaving the door open to diplomacy. If accurate, the decision highlights how limited stocks of critical air defense munitions are increasingly shaping U.S. military options as the conflict continues.
