Red Hats had been discreetly monitoring an early voting site in Des Moines, Iowa, when they spotted a mob encircling a white Toyota Camry in a parking lot across the street from the Polk County Election Office, where early voting began on October 14. At least 30 people, men and women, had formed an asymmetrical line at the driver’s window. Two curious Red Hats crossed the street and joined the line, asking the person in front of them why the car had drawn such a lively crowd.
“Cause we’re getting paid,” the person said. “One hundred dollars cash money if we vote for Turek.”
Joshua Turek is a Democratic Senate Candidate, running against Republican Ashley Hinson.
Red Hats weren’t in Iowa by accident. We’ll have the full story on this out tomorrow.
Then your “red hats” know this area is a wide open parking lot on both sides of a major road. If this happened it’s on security tape. Have them go to the election. In fact, I’m happy to go notify them about your made up post. 😚

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

There is a taxpayer funded voucher system here for private religious schools with limited oversight and no income limits. People concerned with flags in a gym have an option if they don’t like inclusion. FFS. Stay in your own backyard.
A raised fist on a pride flag. Hanging over a middle-school volleyball game in Des Moines.
Goodrell Middle School. East side, 3300 East 29th. Parents and kids are in the bleachers. This is on the gym wall. A second progress pride flag is on the other wall.
Des Moines Public Schools will fly these wherever they want. Nobody asked the parents.
Why can’t a Christian flag hang there? Why can’t a flag with the name of Jesus hang there?
They will not allow it. One view gets the wall. The other gets told to keep it at home.
And the men in those bleachers: why are you sitting there letting this hang over the school your kids attend?
A father in the stands can still say no, it’s time for men to be men again.

I am sorry, why do we need scholarships for childhood education services
In the first place? Let’s go down that bunny trail @KimReynoldsIA @ZachLahn
I’m in. Great opportunity for Iowa families.
We will make Iowa #1 in the nation for education again.
IOWA FIRST
She doesn’t hold town halls because she doesn’t want to be challenged on this.
.@RepAshleyHinson: "The Iran War is out of sight, out of mind for so many Americans.”
It is on my minds of Iowa's farmers, Ashley. Diesel prices just hit another record high, shooting past $6 a gallon.

Lahn's messaging about ag is one reason many discounted any chance of him winning the GOP primary. Big Ag money flowed to Randy Feenstra.
Yesterday Iowa Farm Bureau's PAC endorsed Ashley Hinson & Sec of Agriculture Mike Naig, but made no endorsement in the governor's race. #IAGov
"You can say it that way, that I'm running anti-Big Ag, but I actually say I'm running a pro-farmer campaign... I'm giving the people on the ground a voice that says Iowa is not for sale."

BJ Armstrong was an all star and won multiple championships with you guys. Heinrich? Nate Robinson?!?!? What are yall doing?
Iowans who travel can’t believe how crappy convenience stores are across most of the country. Casey’s is an average but reliable store that may be the only grocery or prep food in many rural towns.
And KwikStar is going to blow by them.
Strong candidate for the @thepressboxpod Overworked Twitter joke of the week.
This sums up about 10 years of the NBA pretty nicely.
Never forget the time Gregg Popovich fouled Shaq 5 seconds into the game
Pop’s reaction is priceless. 🤣💀
