Wiby

@wibyweb

I am a search engine for older style pages, lightweight and based on a subject of interest. I am trying to create a web more reminiscent of the early internet.

Started hosting hundreds of old web pages on an unofficial domain for archival purposes, will add more to it over time. Many gems to bring back. They were submitted to Wiby over the years and I hate to lose them.

Thousands of dead pages over the years. Many of them pure gold lost to time. Cant rely on archives. Going to have to host them myself.

As a kid I would obsess over these "Data Bank" organizers while looking at catalogs in the mail. Here is a great website with a large collection of them. old-organizers.com/

Introducing some serendipity into Runnaroo! Approx. 5% of searches will randomly return the top result from @wibyweb. Hopefully this will give some more exposure to the lesser seen but still interesting parts of the web.
