After the administration cut off pay and health insurance for striking faculty and their families, and a strike-breaking administrator quoted bell hooks, students took over a university building, saying they'll occupy it until faculty get a contract: hellgatenyc.com/students-occβ¦

Under-appreciated way to sched vax appt in NYC:
==> Calling the city hotline, 877-VAX-4NYC
They make appts w/ expanding list of providers: City sites, many hospitals (public & private), community clinics, private medical networks.
Great options for those without computer.

Deplatforming sex workers and racial justice activists and advocates calling for harassment to be taken seriously? Thatβs bad. And, no, you canβt conflate free speech of a white supremacist with the free speech of marginalized groups.

There were 14,000+ arrests at the George Floyd protests.
Only 13 arrests today so far today in DC for seditionists who stormed the US Capitol.
See the difference?

The spectacle of DC β our oligarchy's imperial capital and the source of so much death and destruction in the world β getting ransacked by a bunch of random drunk goons whipped up and egged on by this very same oligarchy...

They teargassed peaceful protesters so Trump could hold up a Bible.

As we watch Trumpers storm the capital with guns. Just a reminder, this is what America did to Native protesting for clean water.

Avoid the vague "officer-involved" for shootings and other cases involving police. Be specific about what happened. If police use the term, ask: How was the officer or officers involved? Who did the shooting? If the information is not available or not provided, spell that out.

A little frustrating, given that the GSAPP alum letter happened before the yale letter and we supported the development of the yale action. @archpaper never bothered to reach out. We want to build solidarity to push institutional change. This is disappointing.

Did u know @ColumbiaGSAPP had a Dean of Minority Affairs?
Can u imagine if they had a Dean of Breaking Down Structural Racism
Or a Dean of Bold Plans and Actions
Or a Dean of Curriculum De-colonization
Or a Dean of Institutional Memory so BIPOC histories aren't erased

Cyberlib friends! Please, if you are able, if you are working, if you benefit from generational wealth and whiteness: redirect your money to some of these Black & QTPOC bail, mutual aid, and emergency funds which are in dire need of your financial support:
