Alumni Of The Day- •DeAngelo Mack/Outfielder: Mack played for the Gamecocks from 2007 to 2009 and in his three seasons with the Gamecocks he slashed .337/.429/.584 with 123 hits, 19 doubles, 21 home runs, 50 walks, and 82 RBI in 365 at-bats. He was drafted in the 13th round of the 2009 MLB draft by the New York Yankees. In three minor league seasons he slashed .274/.351/.442 with 270 hits, 58 doubles, 27 home runs, 103 walks, and 144 RBI in 984 at-bats before retiring in 2012.

Facebook was clutch today with the reminder I had some of the best/worst seats 19 years ago in Chapel Hill. (Worst because they were too close). Best because we left with a 6-1 record and a top 10 ranking. The guy in front of me was wearing his 1952 Kansas Jayhawk NC ring that he won with Dean Smith. Kenny McKinley seemed to have a coming out party during this game. Serviceable before this, but outstanding after it. RIP #11
