The World Cup. The Knicks parade in New York City. The opening of a new Presidential Center in Chicago. The admiration of Dolly Parton. Four events this year that remind us we can still actually be the United States of America. More of that moving forward.

You hear about the athletes & coaches. But there are many others who contribute to the success of the @ArkRazorbacks, and these are two of the best. Rico & Rodney, our 5star truck drivers from @jbhunt360 who drive our equipment truck. And this year, with a brand new truck.

Two things that are true: 1. There is no adjective strong enough to describe the coaching job of @CoachDeifel over the last 11 years at Arkansas. As a program, from the valley to the mountain top. 2. There is no adjective strong enough to describe what a great person she is.

Favorite part of the game for me? Two pitches before the walk-off homerun, the Baum-Walker faithful knew it was already an impressive at-bat by Turner and stood to their feet to applaud. Two pitches later=ballgame. Our @RazorbackBSB fans get it.

It’s not just that Nolan Richardson is getting a statue outside of Bud Walton Arena. It’s that he was able to learn about it in person while standing on Nolan Richardson Court as the state passionately cheered the decision to build his statue. It was his moment. And he was there!

There are some days when I look around Bud Walton Arena pregame and think: “The 1996 Chicago Bulls couldn’t beat the Hogs in this arena today.” And today was one of those days. @RazorbackMBB has all the ingredients: players, coaches, fans, venue, history, passion.

Yes, I teared up. Is @dmcfadden20 one of the best athletes to ever wear the Razorback uniform? Is he one of the best people to ever wear the uniform? Is he one of the most prideful athletes to ever call Arkansas home? Yes. Yes. Yes.

Dave Van Horn is not from Georgia. Nor is he a golfer. Yet I had already convinced myself why he was worthy of this hall of fame, too. And then I read it a bit more closely.

The United States of America: A restaurant changes their logo. People are furious with the logo, which has absolutely no positive or negative affects on the chicken & dumplings or sweet tea. But public outcry results in immediate change. Another school shooting. We do nothing.

No doubt. New favorite moment in Baum-Walker Stadium. And there have been some good ones. But this is now at the top.
