Why was it absolutely essential for the WNBA to lock down the dates for all 7 potential Finals games so far out in advance? Given the league's current standing, wouldn't it have been prudent to have built a little bit of wiggle room into the schedule?

We're in The Next Black Comics Renaissance.
The evidence is everywhere, and everyone knows it.
The WNBA is (rightly) getting killed for this but it's interesting how no one else seems to notice the recurring issue in getting the Dream games at State Farm has been all of the back-to-back games for the NBA teams. Wouldn't it be good for everyone to cut down on those?
After a weekend of nonstop frantic discussions and negotiation, Game 6 of the WNBA Finals will be played Thursday at 12:30 pm at 17,000-seat State Farm Arena in Atlanta, sources told ESPN.
The Atlanta Hawks-Cleveland Cavaliers game that night will move back to 8 pm to accommodate the doubleheader, just as the Hawks did for Game 4. This allows a potential Game 7 to remain scheduled for Halloween at Chase Center in San Francisco.
All three Finals games in Atlanta have required hurried adjustments to the schedule at State Farm Arena. It took collective efforts from the WNBA, NBA, the Hawks, State Farm Arena, Dream, Valkyries and broadcast partners to figure out the best course of action again.
By moving the game earlier in the day, the WNBA avoided a scenario where a potential championship game was played inside the Dream’s home arena, the 3,500 seat Gateway Center.
The other option under strong consideration was moving Game 6 to an open date at State Farm Arena on Friday and Game 7 to an open date at Chase Center on Tuesday, November 3.
We know what BC is going to do with absolutely no chance of them throwing the ball and they are still gashing our defense. Just under 400 rushing yards!!!
If BC is running the same offense Georgia Tech as the announcers keep saying, why is BC able to run the ball for chunks at a time straight up the middle while Tech can't get anything with a 1st round talent type RB

Shout out to @getnickwright! He just gave Angel Reese a fantastic spotlight on @FTFonFS1 in a segment calling out the media. It’s my fave sports show because it’s very funny, so I was delighted to see this pop up today! #WNBAFinals

As a life long Falcons fan, there is nothing remotely close to being wrong with the Falcons throwback logo being posted with the red and the stripes as the back ground. Honestly, Blank should sue TMZ for defamation and also people who believe TMZ seek help
Go Jackets, hook the Hokies and wreck (fake)Tech!!! #TogetherWeSwarm #StingEm

It sucks that Berlin is just off it a bit but C literally has every other spot I'd like to visit. Might be an issue of 2-weeks not being enough time.

For a decade, I claimed “both parties are equally bad.”
I sat down with @BarnettMichaela, who's running against @timburchett and explained why I no longer believe that.
The only way we will reassert limits on power is through total Democratic victory this November.

I don’t think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it.
I’ll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day.
And if I’m choosin’ Texas, I’ll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico.

My favorite type of candidate is one that fits that Kamala Harris mold of being a prosecutor and is not afraid to go on the attack against their opponent. Tanya Miller is showcasing that in an amazing way!
She got at Strickland here. Big Attorney General energy. #gapol

If you were a fan of how Jon Osoff walked down Mike Collins, you should love what Tanya Miller is doing to Brian Strickland. She is straight eviscerating him right now and, again, she is taking a blowtorch to the "soft on crime" rhetoric.
You keep saying "soft on crime" and Brian Strickland brings up California and New York but bro, Republicans have had control of Georgia since the 2000s, lol. What does that say about y'all if you think Georgia is so crazy when it comes to crime? #gapol
