My biggest ever trading day got even better! Got the $300k login details and made another $20k on that account!
$50k for the day on the funded accounts🥂
You can tell a lot about a trader based on their trade history.
Lots of trades with random lot sizes and losses tell you immediately that they are overtrading.
You can gain a lot of valuable experience from time in the markets.
Experiencing drawdowns, winning streaks and sideways action can help you in the future if you have similar experiences.
If you could create a perfect prop firm passing strategy, what would it have to include?
Could be: pass rate, win rate, $ per challenge taken etc.
You need to track every penny you spend on challenges, softwares and account fees.
You can only know your profit once you have deducted all of these costs first.
If there is no trade, close the charts and go about your day.
Nothing good comes from staring at the charts when there is no valid setup.
Use a small part of your Sunday to review your previous trading week.
Take Saturday off and do something fun instead of immediately reviewing trades.
Sometimes a break between the decision and the review works wonders.
I think prop firms are learning how to stay afloat better now than ever before.
They have successfully learned from the mistakes of other firms in 2022/3.
I'd say that $400k in funding is a comfortable level for making a living.
The main issue is that the money is not yours, you can lose it at anytime or the firm could shut down.
You can't live off a $50k funded account.
It is a good starting point but it won't cover your living expenses.
When you are picking a prop firm, only choose one that you have the best chance of passing.
Don't always just buy the cheapest one possible.
