Been busy lately and didn't get round to posting my opinion on stuff 👍 If you're an OG, you remember every post was for the love of the game. Crafts, case openings, pickups, trade-ups, clips from your matches, someone dropping their steam because they needed a +1 for their 5 stack. Nobody was posting to farm anything. You posted because you pulled something sick or finally finished a craft you'd been planning for weeks, and people actually cared. You OGs will remember the Traders and Collectors group too. As well as random people from the TL in a skins server together, talking shit, showing off inventories, making friends off the back of it. That was the best part of this place. It was ALL skins and it was sick. Now half my timeline is engagement bait, ragebait and the same recycled posts over and over, because that's what pays. You can have your opinion on gambling sponsors, obviously. Personally I have a much bigger problem with badge stuff than someone posting a single bet slip. A bet slip is one post and everyone knows what it is. Badge accounts are deliberately pumping out slop every single day for payouts, and that's what's actually drowning out the good content. What gets me is people piling on smaller accounts for taking sponsors while saying nothing about the big YouTubers and streamers doing the exact same thing with 100x the reach. If you're going to call it out, call it out for everyone, not just the guys who can't hit back. But it works both ways. It's easy to shit on someone for a badge or a sponsor when you don't know their financial situation. Some people might genuinely need that money, and I don't know their life. Maybe I'm being a bit of a hypocrite here too, and I get that. I just miss what this place used to be. Skins were my high school hobby. I'd walk to school with my friends just talking about what skins we'd buy if we had millions of pounds, what our dream inventories would look like, what crafts we'd make. Through this community I've made so many lifelong friends, and they know who they are. That's what this place gave me, and that's why it hurts to see what it's turning into. CS2 took a lot of people's passion for the game and skins, and that's fair. It did mine a little too. Things changed, the market changed, and a lot of the old faces stopped posting. But I really think some of that love can come back if we just start posting like we used to. Post your crafts. Post your clips, even the shit ones. Post your inventory, your pickups, your sticker combos. Ask for a +1. Run some 10 mans. Post skins because you actually like skins. That's the CS Twitter I fell in love with, and I'd love to see it again. / Ben /
