🚹 WhatsApp’s “end-to-end encrypted” privacy is a total lie. New class-action lawsuit just dropped: Meta secretly let employees, contractors like Accenture, and third parties read, intercept, and store your private messages WITHOUT consent. All while marketing it as “only you and the recipient can read it.” Zuck lied to billions. Your chats were never safe.

People love you when the work is free. Mention money and watch who disappears, ignores the hard work, and forgets your friendship.

How should you spend your time as an agency owner? The time allocation that works best: Spend half your week delivering and the other half marketing. No exceptions. Most founders resist this because it feels unrealistic once client work piles up. But that’s exactly when it matters most. If you spend 80–90% of your time delivering, you’re renting stability from your current clients. The moment one leaves, you feel it. If you spend most of your time “marketing” without delivery pressure, you end up optimizing ideas instead of revenue. This split works because it forces tradeoffs. You can’t over-serve every client. You can’t wait until things slow down to sell. You have to decide what actually moves the business. Marketing isn’t something you earn the right to do after delivery is done. It’s the work that makes delivery sustainable. Every agency I’ve seen stall eventually drifts away from this balance. Every one that compounds treats it as non-negotiable. It’s a simple operating model. Simple doesn’t mean easy.

Design is easy. - Your CEO wants you to "design like Apple" with 0.001% of their design budget. Also your CEO: "Why does this button need to be so big?" - Engineering: "We need to completely rebuild the design system before we can change that color." Reality: The color gets changed in 2 hours when a major investor complains - Your board member saw Figma's new AI features and now asks your CEO: "Why haven't we replaced our designers with AI yet?" - Research team: "We need 3 months for proper user testing." Reality: Features get designed based on what the CEO's spouse said at dinner last night - Your design system has gone through 8 rebrands and 4 complete overhauls. The only consistent thing is your declining mental health. - Marketing: "Just make it pop more and I can increase conversions by 300%." Also Marketing: Never provides actual copy or real content. - Data team: "Show me the A/B test results for this pixel change." Also Data team: "No, we can't track the thing you actually want to measure." - Every designer: "Our users need a clean, intuitive experience." Every product: Same exact design trending on X. - Executive: "We need to be more user-centric." Same executive: Still hasn't used the product since the beta version from 2019. Hug a designer, we're definitely not okay :)

You don't hate working. You hate not controlling what you work on.

When I first spoke out about the genocide, I was one of the few voices in tech, and it came at a cost. I faced sabotage especially from the VC class: lies, leaks, threats, and blocked investments. It was painful, but I never once regretted standing up for the children in Gaza. Today, the tide in tech has shifted. The truth is undeniable. If you’ve been holding back, now is the time to speak out and call out anyone supporting or celebrating genocide. It won’t cost you much—in fact, it will earn you respect, and more importantly a clear conscious. Plus, alienating those who will hate you for speaking is a feature, not a bug.

YouTube's identity just got a refresh. The new @YouTube color palette features a brand gradient that elevates the UX and reinforces the brand. Say hello to a softer shade of red and eye-catching magenta-infused gradients.

During the Figma AI drama, I thought: what if AI could support you, not replace you? New Figma plugin in the works: MATE for Figma MATE is like an intern/assistant that does the boring stuff for you. Watch the demo (real-time, no speed-ups): @figma @FigmaHunt @FigmaTuts
