Recently released global cancer statistics from the International Agency for Research on Cancer’s (@IARCWHO) GLOBOCAN 2024 estimates provide an important snapshot of the global cancer burden, including updated data on pancreatic cancer.
The World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC) and its members are united in advancing awareness, fostering global collaboration and driving action to change the future of pancreatic cancer around the world. 💜

Today is World Social Media Day — a day to celebrate the power of social media to connect people across borders, amplify important conversations and build communities around shared causes.
For the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition, social media helps unite people around the globe who are working toward the same goal: raising awareness AND increasing understanding of this deadly disease.
New data presented at @ASCO #ASCO26 and simultaneously published in The New England Journal of Medicine mark a significant milestone in #pancreaticcancer research. 🔬
While additional regulatory review and access considerations remain, these findings represent meaningful progress in the effort to advance treatment options for people affected by pancreatic cancer.

Today on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women around the globe, driving progress, raising awareness and inspiring hope — including the patients, caregivers, researchers, clinicians and advocates working to change the future of pancreatic cancer. 💜🚺
The WPCC is delighted to be a part of the Global Cancer Coalition Network (GCCN) which was formed in the wake of COVID-19.
Drawing on data from 104 orgs. across 45 countries, the report captures the lived reality of patient orgs. supporting millions of people affected by #cancer, at a time of rising demand, limited resources and health systems that are still recovering 5 years after the pandemic.
