Next up we had the talented & passionate Emma Beynon (@writeoutside) asking us to consider ourselves as sounds and trees as different haircuts. Our participants learned so much about senses, description metaphor, perspective, etc. So many excellent poems shared too! 3/4

The NHS is increasingly Privatised. (Pass it on). I have a medical exemption certificate, yet: 1. The NHS no longer supply nebulisers. I need to purchase one in order to breathe... 2. I have intestinal failure = vitamin deficiencies if I don't supplement. I spend £50 a month

Incredibly powerful to hear first-hand accounts from key workers on the front line today. They are the best of our country and the Government must do all it can to protect them.

Hi all. #bbcessentialculture is our attempt to help keep everyone sane. Let us know the art/music/poetry etc that you're putting up online for people to enjoy at home; or anything great you've found on t'internet. Let's keep sharing great stuff and get through this together xx

One good thing to emerge at the moment is all the wonderful artists and musicians who are sharing culture online from reading poems, to music masterclasses and remote concerts. If you've something to share we'll shout about it on Essential Classics - use #bbcessentialculture
