@tomscott off-handedly mentioned Apple putting cameras in their earbuds way back in 2015 (youtu.be/jE2PP7EowdM?t=362).

Incredible work here by @WIRED and @a_greenberg
We need more public disclosures like this. The public should understand how much of the world runs on (likely) vulnerable tech, especially the hidden tech.

I understand it's probably just their corporate font, but this kind of makes me think of those label memes and its implying that the ChatGPT moon is going to crash into the continent of Work. (or maybe I'm reading it entirely correctly?)

Incredible video. Way more transparent than I would have expected, but I like that.
Apple finally published this. I found a bug in `awdd` that exposed `AWDMetadata.bin` and their response was to straight-up remove the daemon entirely. Very interesting!

iirc, @theo has called out this video more than once on stream: youtu.be/7fGB-hjc2Gc?t=440

Me, switching between Ask and Agent mode in Cursor with GPT 5.4 (not exactly the same situation, but it was funny for it to say "if" about a fix it literally was working on with me in that same thread).

Great coverage, @veritasium ! As a security researcher, I'm surprised at how transparent you were in explaining the exploit (while also, of course, not fully sharing the code). Often times, security concepts are oversimplified, but I think this wasn't.

Benn definitely seems to know what he's talking about here. Some of it even goes over my head. There are nuances here, and I'm afraid those will get lost as the video is widely watched and the game of telephone reverberates out. But the core is valid.
